The huge increase ties in with the release of declassified files from the Ministry of Defence, now available to view on the National Archives website.The files are a treasure trove of extra-planetary sightings from across Britain covering the period 1978 to 2002, and are available to view for free for one month after the date of their publication online.A spokeswoman for The National Archives told Web User that there has been great interest from the press and the public since the secret files were put on the net.A poll carried out by The Sun newspaper reveals that half the people surveyed believe the government is hushing up the truth about UFOs.
