Nasa Report Aliens Might Destroy Humanity To Protect Other Civilizations

Nasa Report Aliens Might Destroy Humanity To Protect Other Civilizations
RISING GREENHOUSE EMISSIONS COULD TIP OFF ALIENS THAT WE ARE A RAPIDLY EXPANDING THREAT AND THEY MIGHT CHOOSE TO DESTROY HUMANITY TO PROTECT OTHER CIVILIZATIONS, WARNS A REPORT.

It may not rank as the most compelling reason to curb greenhouse gases, but reducing our emissions might just save humanity from a pre-emptive alien attack, scientists claim.

Watching from afar, EXTRATERRESTRIAL BEINGS MIGHT VIEW CHANGES IN EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE AS SYMPTOMATIC OF A CIVILISATION GROWING OUT OF CONTROL - and take drastic action to keep us from becoming a more serious threat, the researchers explain.

This highly speculative scenario is one of several described by a Nasa-affiliated scientist and colleagues at Pennsylvania State University that, while considered unlikely, THEY SAY COULD PLAY OUT WERE HUMANS AND ALIEN LIFE TO MAKE CONTACT AT SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE.

Shawn Domagal-Goldman of Nasa's Planetary Science Division and his colleagues compiled a list of plausible outcomes that could unfold in the aftermath of a close encounter, to help humanity "prepare for actual contact".

In their report, Would Contact with Extraterrestrials Benefit or Harm Humanity? A Scenario Analysis, the researchers divide alien contacts into three broad categories: beneficial, neutral or harmful.

BENEFICIAL ENCOUNTERS RANGED FROM THE MERE DETECTION OF EXTRATERRESTRIAL INTELLIGENCE (ETI), for example through the interception of alien broadcasts, to contact with cooperative organisms that HELP US ADVANCE OUR KNOWLEDGE AND SOLVE GLOBAL PROBLEMS SUCH AS HUNGER, POVERTY AND DISEASE.

Another beneficial outcome the authors entertain sees HUMANITY TRIUMPH OVER A MORE POWERFUL ALIEN AGGRESSOR, OR EVEN BEING SAVED BY A SECOND GROUP OF ETS. "In these scenarios, humanity benefits not only from the major moral victory of having defeated a daunting rival, but also from the opportunity to reverse-engineer ETI technology," the authors write.

OTHER KINDS OF CLOSE ENCOUNTER MAY BE LESS REWARDING AND LEAVE MUCH OF HUMAN SOCIETY FEELING INDIFFERENT TOWARDS ALIEN LIFE. The extraterrestrials may be too different from us to communicate with usefully. THEY MIGHT INVITE HUMANITY TO JOIN THE "GALACTIC CLUB" ONLY FOR THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS TO BE TOO BUREAUCRATIC AND TEDIOUS FOR HUMANS TO BOTHER WITH. They could even become a nuisance, like the stranded, prawn-like creatures that are kept in a refugee camp in the 2009 South African movie, District 9, the report explains.

The most unappealing outcomes would arise if extraterrestrials caused harm to humanity, even if by accident. While ALIENS MAY ARRIVE TO EAT, ENSLAVE OR ATTACK US, THE REPORT ADDS THAT PEOPLE MIGHT ALSO SUFFER FROM BEING PHYSICALLY CRUSHED OR BY CONTRACTING DISEASES CARRIED BY THE VISITORS. In especially unfortunate incidents, humanity could be wiped out when a more advanced civilisation accidentally unleashes an unfriendly artificial intelligence, or performs a catastrophic physics experiment that renders a portion of the galaxy uninhabitable.

TO BOLSTER HUMANITY'S CHANCES OF SURVIVAL, THE RESEARCHERS CALL FOR CAUTION IN SENDING SIGNALS INTO SPACE, and in particular warn against broadcasting information about our biological make-up, which could be used to manufacture weapons that target humans. INSTEAD, ANY CONTACT WITH ETS SHOULD BE LIMITED TO MATHEMATICAL DISCOURSE "UNTIL WE HAVE A BETTER IDEA OF THE TYPE OF ETI WE ARE DEALING WITH."

THE AUTHORS WARN THAT EXTRATERRESTRIALS MAY BE WARY OF CIVILISATIONS THAT EXPAND VERY RAPIDLY, as these may be prone to destroy other life as they grow, just as humans have pushed species to extinction on Earth. In the most extreme scenario, ALIENS MIGHT CHOOSE TO DESTROY HUMANITY TO PROTECT OTHER CIVILISATIONS.

"A preemptive strike would be particularly likely in the early phases of our expansion because a civilisation may become increasingly difficult to destroy as it continues to expand. Humanity may just now be entering the period in which its rapid civilisational expansion could be detected by an ETI because our expansion is changing the composition of the Earth's atmosphere, via greenhouse gas emissions," the report states.

"GREEN" ALIENS MIGHT OBJECT TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE HUMANS HAVE CAUSED ON EARTH AND WIPE US OUT TO SAVE THE PLANET. "These scenarios give us reason to limit our growth and reduce our impact on global ecosystems. It would be particularly important for us to limit our emissions of greenhouse gases, since atmospheric composition can be observed from other planets," the authors write.

Even if we never make contact with extraterrestrials, THE REPORT ARGUES THAT CONSIDERING THE POTENTIAL SCENARIOS MAY HELP TO PLOT THE FUTURE PATH OF HUMAN CIVILISATION, avoid collapse and ACHIEVE LONG-TERM SURVIVAL.

Ancient Ufo And Alien Influences On Earth

Ancient Ufo And Alien Influences On Earth
ANCIENT ALIENS - EARTH IS FULL OF MYSTERIOUS, ANCIENT STRUCTURES. BOTH IN THE DEPTHS OF THE OCEANS AND ON LAND THERE ARE STRUCTURES THAT DATE BACK TO PREHISTORIC TIMES. MANY OF THESE STRUCTURES SEEM UNNATURAL, BUILT BY SOME INTELLIGENCE, TOO FAR ADVANCED FOR THOSE TIMES.

Many also seem to have unnatural properties or behavior. Think for example of Carnac, the megaliths that seem to have magnetic properties, or the recent investigation into the structure in the Baltic Sea, where radio equipment stops functioning when researchers approach the object.

Some are convinced that these constructions and phenomena are of alien origin. That in the distant past, technology has been installed all over the Earth that is still functioning and influencing us. Could this be true? And if so, what could be their function?

Ancient civilizations worldwide believed that the gods influenced events on Earth, both for individuals and for entire populations. Divine interventions punished peoples if they were on the wrong track, but also taught them and brought them fortune at times.

Could the mysterious site form a system, a network of communication gateways that is activated from a long space at certain times. In the past the history of man has been directed this way. Disasters meant to cause panic, destroy the unwanted and make man start a new era.

As we know from the Maya calendar and other ancient systems, the Earth and mankind experience time cycles of some thousands of years. And we are near some change or new cycle. We may experience this sooner than later. Are we the aliens in their world?

I was amazed by how many were actually in the sky but were acting as stars after this sighting i believe there must thousands or maybe millions of ufos in the skys every night. I have seen 3 ufos before this, I believe i've never been abducted, but im baffled what they were doing trying to show off or take off.

Sara Falkland Of The Bbc

Sara Falkland Of The Bbc
Spoke to Don Ramkin a follower of Haunted Skies today he has emailed his report regarding the recovery of a stone(s) during one of many visits to Rendlesham Forest over the past ten years. He also had a toy elephant appear which may sound incredible, but some times the unbelievable happens. We should know as we have ourselves experienced the fall of a stone on more than one occasion and will be talking about this at the above lecture in September 2011. The fall of such objects is described as an apport which can involve a variety of objects, including coins but this is pleasure which I have never had although Don did have a bronze three pennny but appear. Spoke to Dennis Plunkett the long time head of the British Flying Saucer Bureau based in Bristol, he is a credit to UFO research and reminded me of the time many years ago when in the RAF about the notices warning of dire consequences about reporting UFOs -Hope Dennis returns to full health soon! Here is a photo of renown BBC Journalist Sara Falkland who used to live next door to us, she expressed an interest in interviewing us then the books were published, but of course we have never had any reply from a letter or emails sent to her! Maybe somone will see the photo and bring it to her attention?Well we are excited the 3rd book is nearly ready, a few more days.....Next week we will be structering Volume 4 which will cover these years 1968-1969-1970-1971-1972-1973thanks goodness its more than two years!Abduction of motor vehicle ! It is difficult what to make of this apparent very rare, almost unbelievable, report involving the removal of an abandoned vehicle alongside of the road at Farningham, Kent, at 9.00 pm. 16th July 1978 (not by the Police but by a UFO!) - if it wasn't for the fact that the Investigator was the well respected Margaret Fry, who was then living in Bexleyheath: "The man was motoring along the A2, just past Farningham, Kent, when he noticed a derelict car parked on the grass verge."Suddenly, a grey metallic silver cigar shaped object dropped from the sky and hovered over the vehicle. His car came to a halt and the driver felt paralysed. The abandoned car then rose upwards and was sucked through an opening in the object, which closed. The object then flew away and out of sight.I reported the incident to the Police, at Bexleyheath, who seemed interested.I know the witness went back to the scene and was horrified to see traces of where the car had been on the grass. He refused to get involved any further, feeling that if they could do that to a car what about if there had been someone in it?" -" Chilling words, if true. In February 2010 we spoke to Margaret Fry about this incident, who told us she regarded the witness as being genuine and that she had received two other sightings of strange phenomenon in the same place that very day. They included a report of an 'Entity', described as resembling a 'Michelin man', seen. Margaret promised to conduct a search through her comprehensive files, in order to obtain further information about the other incidents. (Source as above / 'Earthlink', Dan Goring)

A Cluster Of Small Coincidences

A Cluster Of Small Coincidences
In my post on Wednesday I was talking about clusters of coincidences and then yesterday (Thursday) I had a run of a few small coincidences myself. Odd how this sort of thing happens - it's almost a coincidence!

Our son, his wife and their 11 week old son have gone away on a belated honeymoon. We didn't have any idea of how long it would take to get to their destination. My wife said to me, "I wonder when they will arrive?"

As soon as she had finished her sentence the phone rang. It was our son saying, "Hello dad, we've just arrived."

Now that's how quickly all questions should be answered! And many are.

We had to go to the supermarket for a big shop. I usually wander off to look at the CDs and stuff while my wife fills up the trolley with essentials. I was in a world of my own thinking about something that had happened the previous week and how, out of the blue, the problem was solved. I thought to myself, "Strange how that all worked out so well, wonder how that happened?"

A voice said, "It was divine intervention." It was just like someone was answering the question in my mind. It actually turned out to be an elderly women relating a story to a friend. But, for me, she was answering my question too.

That morning, when the post arrived, there were letters for both myself and my wife from banks, both with new PIN numbers for credit / debit cards. I asked my wife what her four digit number was. Incredibly it was exactly the same as the one I had received. And this was virtually the same thing that had happened to "Tom" in the last post which included 67 Not Out Readers Coincidence Stories.

I was thinking (I seem to do a lot of that!) about something that Nancy had written as a comment on a blog post about UFO's. She wrote, "... I think they (UFOs) are around quite often and for some reason they are not always visible to everyone."

So why can't everyone see UFOs?

That evening I picked up an old book about Uri Geller by Andrija Puharich, opened it up at rendom to page 248. This was a supposed conversation with an alien called Hoova about UFO/Alien visits. This is what Hoova is quoted as saying, after being asked if space visitations were from his 'group':

"Most of these reports by humans (about UFOs) are due to hallucinations and aberrations. But some units have landed. But most of the reported landings have been other visitors from space - some of whom we do not see. They are of different vibrations different spaces, different velocities. We are the only ones who are mostly here. The other visitors come and go. We stay."

So seeing UFOs is all down to the old favourite: vibrations.

Okay, so there we have a cluster of small coincidences. It seems definitely true to me that once we start thinking about, or talking about, something important to us coincidences (and answers) follow.

The Hunt For Mokele Mbembe Congo Loch Ness Monster

The Hunt For Mokele Mbembe Congo Loch Ness Monster

The search for Scotland's Loch Ness Monster is world famous. Far less well-known is the hunt for a similar creature, Mokele-mbembe, which is reputed to live in the remote north of Congo-Brazzaville. But how strong is the evidence?

"I checked maps, and the data on the maps was white. It said, 'insufficient data to delineate terrain'. Well that got me!" says Dr Roy Mackal, a retired biologist from the University of Chicago.

"It's the end of the world. It gives you a feeling of a surviving prehistoric time."

In the 1980s, Dr Mackal led two expedition teams to the vast Likouala swamp and rainforest area of the Congo which is inhabited by pygmies, on the hunt for this mystery creature - Africa's version of Scotland's Loch Ness Monster.

The Mokele-mbembe is reputed to be a large reptile-like creature, with a long neck, and long tail.

Despite being a herbivore, it is said to roar aggressively if approached by humans. Some say it has a single horn, which it uses to kill elephants.

Many a Western explorer over the years has been gripped by the tantalising possibility that they could discover a creature - a formidable one at that - that has remained, as yet, unknown to science.

RISING 'OUT THE WATER'

To date, there have been more than 50 expeditions to the region, but no scientific evidence, unless you include the large claw-shaped footprint recorded by a French missionary in 1776, and by a number of others since.

The only photographic images have been so fuzzy, they prove nothing.

But there is no shortage of eyewitness reports.

"I was in a boat on the river when I saw Mokele-mbembe. He began to chase us. Mokele-mbembe rose out of the water," one man told the BBC. "We ran, or he would have killed us."

Paul Ohlin, a community development worker who spent more than 10 years living with the Bayaka in Congo and the Central African Republic, just to the north, says the people who live in the area are in no doubt about the creature's existence.

Lake Tele, 5km across a hotspot for Mokele-mbembe sightings

"When people are sitting around the campfire talking, they talk about the Mokele-mbembe - it's something that's a reality in everyday life," he says.

At the same time he emphasises their "spiritual connection" and "mystical relationship" with it.

"The way they see the world is a little different to the way you and I see it," says Paul. But their eyewitness reports still need to be taken seriously, in his view.

"Certainly mythology surrounds it," says Adam Davies, a British man who spends his spare time and money travelling the world in search of undocumented species, and has twice gone to Africa on the trail of the Mokele-mbembe.

"But when you put it to people, 'Is this a real creature?' they become quite affronted... and they consistently came out with physical descriptions."

"Never dismiss tribal accounts on the basis that they must be talking tosh because they are tribal - that's not right and it's actually disrespectful," he says.

DISNEYLAND

The field of cryptozoology - the search for large, unproven species - extends well beyond the realms of mainstream science.

But those who believe Mokele-mbembe exists point out that some animals once dismissed by science have turned out to be real.

The most often cited example is the okapi - a cloven-hoofed mammal with zebra-like stripes on its legs, which lives in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, just to the east of Congo-Brazzaville.

In the 19th Century, there was talk among Westerners in Africa of the existence of an "African unicorn" and the explorer Henry Morton Stanley - who had earlier tracked down the missing missionary, Dr David Livingstone - reported seeing a mysterious donkey-like animal on a journey through the Congo in the late 1880s.

It was only in 1901 that the okapi was properly documented and identified as a relative of the giraffe.

"I'd put Mokele-mbembe in the same category as the Loch Ness Monster," says Bill Laurance, professor at James Cook University in Australia, a conservation biologist and an expert in tropical rainforests.

"My gut sense is that the likelihood of the creature actually existing today is small.

"However, one thing you learn early on in science is never say never. We are still discovering new species all the time."

The Likouala region in the north-east of Congo Brazzaville is the kind of place that it is easy to imagine containing hidden mysteries. Congolese government officials say 80% of its 66,000 sq km is uncharted. Much of it is dense, often flooded forest, forming part of the second largest rainforest in the world.

"The idea of a creature which is very rare, living in a very remote area with a vast size to it, is not remotely implausible," argues Adam Davies.

But some wonder about the motivations of the Congolese who promote the existence of the creature.

US writer Rory Nugent who went to Congo in search of the Mokele-mbembe and wrote a book about his experience, Drums Along the Congo, says he saw "an elegant French curve moving through the water".

He believes it might have been the head of the famed creature, but he is also deeply sceptical.

"The guides were screaming about a god beast. Whether it was part of the show, whether there was somebody swimming under the water with flippers pushing a cardboard piece across the lake, I couldn't tell you."

Taking foreigners on expeditions to try to find the Mokele-mbembe is a good "money making operation" for those involved, he adds.

Dr Mackel Science Director at Loch Ness before turning attention to the Congo

Mr Nugent fears that one day a kind of "Disneyland Congo" could be created in the area - similar to the tourist trap around Loch Ness - with scientists and tourists from the world flying in and out.

Those who believe the Mokele-mbembe exists argue that with further dedication of time and resources, one will eventually be tracked down.

But might the discovery of the creature be an anti-climax? Perhaps the mystery is what we enjoy most.

"I think there is a basic need or drive to entertain possibilities just outside of our reach," says psychology professor Jacqueline Woolley of the University of Texas.

"There is the excitement in believing that what seems impossible or improbable could potentially exist."

She says that for belief in creatures like the Mokele-mbembe to take hold, they "can't be too wacky and far out - they must be similar to real entities," but vary in just one or two ways.

"I realise my bias," admits Dr Mackal, who is now in his 80s. "I'm interested in discovering unknown species of animals."

"But I think that Mokele-mbembe still exist, and there isn't just one - they are reproducing," he contends.

"At 86 years old, I would dearly love to be alive if and when the animals are discovered."

The Leah Haley Case Tom Deuley The Tampa Trib And Mufon Unaccountability

The Leah Haley Case Tom Deuley The Tampa Trib And Mufon Unaccountability
"This is one in a series of posts on the Leah Haley Case."In March, 1995, Leah Haley and Marc Davenport had a speaking engagement at the Tampa Unity Church in Tampa, Florida. The couple regularly shared the controversial views they held at the time on such matters as aliens, multiple dimensions and military abductions.Kurt Loft of "The Tampa Tribune-Times" wrote a piece on the scheduled event. Loft's article, "UFO Enthusiasts to Describe Out-of-This-World Adventures", was published in the March 5, 1995, edition of the newspaper. Loft summarized the claims and perspectives of Haley and Davenport and sought statements from other applicable sources. Major David Thurston, identified by Loft as a spokesman for the Air Force in Washington, provided comment. He explained the Pentagon did not take such claims seriously. Fair enough. I would certainly expect Thurston to have accurately represented the policies and stances of his employer. Loft also sought comment from Tom Deuley of MUFON. Loft wrote:The Pentagon scoffs at the accusations, said Maj. David Thurston, a spokesman for the Air Force in Washington."I don't want to dignify such charges with a comment," he said. "I will say the Air Force isn't in the business of kidnapping the citizens of this country."Nor does the Mutual UFO Network, which publishes the UFO Journal in Seguin, Texas, embrace Haley's abduction stories--either by aliens or the military."I would advise people to listen very closely to their lecture and apply some common sense to what they hear," said Tom Deuley of the Network, which has more than 5,200 members. "We feel very embarrassed that UFOs are the vehicle for people making a living. When people tell such ridiculous stories, it doesn't help the serious scientific work being done."Trouble was, the article and Deuley's statements were simply misrepresentations of actual MUFON actions and apparent policy.Tom Deuley Tom DeuleyLieutenant Commander Thomas P. Deuley, US Navy, Retired, has an impressive resume and long history in ufology. One of his many bios circulating through the UFO community states he holds an engineering degree from Auburn and a degree in advertising from San Antonio College. He has a diverse background in military affairs including security and intelligence. A former National Security Agency employee, Deuley has presented information to the UFO community on a variety of topics.Deuley is a long time member of the MUFON board of directors. He also held key positions within additional UFO organizations and resulting projects, including the Fund for UFO Research, the UFO Research Coalition and the ill fated Ambient Monitoring Project, a program drawing substantial criticism, among other reasons, for its lack of transparency. At the time, March 5, 1995, Loft suggested in "The Tampa Trib", evidently based upon comments provided by Deuley, that neither MUFON nor its "Journal" embraced such abduction stories, little could have been further from correct. The facts of the matter were if we need any documentation MUFON has a long history of supporting such stories, we need look no farther than the very "MUFON Journal" suggested to oppose such claims. In actuality, the 1995 February and April editions of the "Journal" carried a column written by then-MUFON director of abduction research, John Carpenter. The column, "Abduction Notes", was regularly published in the "Journal" and clearly promoted and endorsed claims of abduction, both alien and military. As a matter of fact, in February, 1995, Carpenter wrote that John Mack brought attention to the "reality of UFO abductions." Carpenter went on in the same column to endorse Streiber's "Communion" and Hopkins' "Intruders". The April, 1995, installment of "Abduction Notes" published in the "MUFON Journal" saw Carpenter writing about the importance of providing professional support to alien abductees. Combined with Deuley's virtually simultaneous and particularly critical comments on such matters, the situation could reasonably be interpreted as an outrageously ironic contradiction in MUFON policy. Clearly, the MUFON stance was not entirely and accurately represented in "The Trib". Perhaps most insulting of all to Leah Haley, Deuley apparently failed to inform Loft it was Deuley's fellow MUFON director, John Carpenter, who originally personally assisted and encouraged Haley in forming and cultivating her ideas via hypnosis about aliens and military personnel in the first place. The article also failed to accurately portray the role MUFON director Donald Ware played in the situation. Ware participated in the Eglin expedition, a hike in which a US Air Force base was searched for the site of an allegedly downed alien craft Haley was once supposed to have been aboard. What's more, it was Ware who originally suggested they undertake the remarkable hike and search. The very organization in which Leah sought help, hesitantly yet trustfully following their paradigm-shifting concepts and suggestions that included a year of hypnotic regression sessions, threw her under the bus on the pages of "The Tampa Tribune-Times".More facts of the matter include Haley was not "making a living" at sharing her story as Deuley suggested. Far from it, actually. In her book, "Unlocking Alien Closets", pages 181-182, Haley addressed the Loft article. Among other points presented, she detailed her personal finances which clearly demonstrated her activities in the UFO community were severely detrimental - and by no means beneficial - to money matters. Haley further stated that to the best of her recollection, she never so much as met Tom Deuley. I emailed Deuley to try to learn more. I informed him I write a UFO-related blog and I provided a link. I stated I am writing about the Leah Haley Case and asked if I may ask him some questions. Two similar requests were sent to the MUFON email address of Robert Swiatek, another long time MUFON board member who has previously posted comment here at "The UFO Trail." The emails to Swiatek were not answered. Multiple emails were also sent to MUFON board member Marie Malzahn at two different email addresses on file here at "The 'Trail". I requested permission to ask her some questions about current MUFON policy and no replies were received.Deuley replied he would be glad to entertain questions but advised he did not recall much about the Haley case. He added maybe the questions would be reminders. On January 9, 2012, I emailed Deuley a summary of the Loft article and situation as described above, as well as reference to the Carpenter Affair. I thanked him for his willingness to entertain questions and stated I would appreciate comments at his convenience.I asked what he would say to people who might question the hypocrisy of him speaking on behalf of MUFON and criticizing Haley, when it was his very MUFON peer, Carpenter, who originally encouraged and promoted her then-beliefs. I asked, most importantly, how might he expect Leah Haley to feel about it.I also requested Deuley state his stance on MUFON chapters continuing to promote and conduct regressive hypnosis as a memory retrieval tool.I requested Deuley explain, as a long time MUFON board member and considering the mission of the organization to conduct scientific research, how he feels about the MUFON tendencies to provide public platforms to such self-described researchers as the late Budd Hopkins and others who use hypnosis as a primary tool of investigation. I asked Deuley to clarify his stance on David Jacobs being recently provided a public platform at MUFON LA. I also requested Deuley state his stance on MUFON chapters continuing to promote and conduct regressive hypnosis as a memory retrieval tool.I asked if he would please comment on his recollections of how the MUFON board of directors handled the Carpenter Affair. I inquired whether Deuley was pleased or dissatisfied with MUFON actions, and what he thought was most important about the entire series of events.I referenced how former MUFON international director James Carrion was quite outspoken about his interpretations the intelligence community plays a significant role in ufology, including the manipulation of MUFON. I further referenced how Clifford Clift made comments to a similar effect, even if the two men imply one another were more part of the problem than not. I then asked Deuley if he thinks MUFON was ever, at any time either formerly or currently, covertly infiltrated by the intelligence community. As of this post, I have received no further emails or responses from Tom Deuley.AccountabilityTo clarify, I do not oppose Deuley's implications ufology could use more critical thinking. Of course it could.I take issue with MUFON board members holding conflicting perspectives while each claiming and/or implying to be acting on behalf of the organization, especially when it results in an individual, Haley, publicly criticized who was assured help and did as she was suggested. I also take issue with said board members being unaccountable for the behavior. I further take issue with members of the MUFON board of directors continuing to refuse to commit to a stance or even so much as address the issues, particularly concerning the use of hypnosis as a memory retrieval tool. The latest MUFON international director, David "The Captain" MacDonald, cooperatively fielded some questions here at "The UFO Trail". While I appreciate his willingness to address issues, I find his comments concerning hypnosis unacceptable and indicative of a poorly informed UFO community.Concerning MUFON providing platforms to individuals who use hypnosis as a primary investigative tool, Mr. MacDonald stated he has "no problem" with chapters hosting speakers making presentations on any "investigative procedure," including hypnosis. The problem with that, Mr. MacDonald, is the professional research community does not recognize hypnosis as an investigative procedure. This includes the academic/scientific community. The medical industry, which includes mental health professionals, does not recognize hypnosis as an investigative procedure, either. That is because, to overstate what should be the obvious yet remains chronically elusive, it is not an investigative procedure. None of that would be particularly significant if it were not for the facts the Mutual UFO Network is a nonprofit public charity and claims to be dedicated to the scientific study of UFOs for the benefit of humanity. It is not a private corporation or a hypnosis society. Neither is it dedicated to promoting inaccurate information subject to the best ticket draw and at the emotional sacrifice of those who approach it for advertised investigative and support services - even though it may appear that way much more often than not.As we proceed with the exploration of the Leah Haley Case, let us please remember the key issues. Let us not be swayed by those who try to distract our attention from the most significant facts.Leah Haley was hypnotized repeatedly throughout 1991 by a MUFON director, John Carpenter, inducing emotional upheaval and beliefs she was traumatically abducted again and again by a variety of alien and human perpetrators. She was guided by another MUFON director, Lieutenant Colonel Donald Ware, through an expedition of a US Air Force Base, supposedly searching for a site an alien craft was downed with her aboard and as suggested during one of the many hypnosis sessions. Her case file and the files of 139 other alleged abductees were released by Carpenter to Robert Bigelow and his military intelligence associates, as reportedly confirmed by Colonel John Alexander and cited in the previous post. Those are facts. What the facts may indicate is open to interpretation and justifies further research. As I have stated all along, I do not claim to have conclusions. Haley believes she somehow became involved in covert research operations. As I have written, Haley's case may, at worst, be indicative of covert psychological operations in which any number of people were manipulated and deceived. At best, Haley's story is the saga of a woman who sought the services of organizations and individuals claiming to provide quality, scientific investigation and healthy emotional support - and those organizations and individuals simply lied, be it out of ignorance, incompetence, deception or combinations ther.I would hope the UFO community would take note of such occurrences and be interested in improving its performance. Unfortunately, I have little reason to currently believe that is the case.Haley's situation, extraordinary as it may seem, is actually not as unique as it may initially appear. It just happens to be relatively high profile. Think about it. There is the Emma Woods situation. There is the Carol Rainey films and information. Let us not forget there are no less than 139 others directly involved in the Carpenter Affair. I am personally and directly aware of individuals who contacted MUFON, a public nonprofit corporation purportedly dedicated to scientific research, for assistance in understanding their strange experiences and were abruptly referred to hypnotists. Some of these individuals have since decided the hypnosis sessions were unhelpful in identifying actuality, traumatic and quite harmful to their emotional well being and mental health.I invite you to ask yourself if you will support and enable those who rationalize such circumstances, trying to dilute the significance of damage being inflicted. Accountability is in order - not excuses.

Australian Seti Astronomers Detect Unknown Signal

Australian Seti Astronomers Detect Unknown Signal
http://grenzwissenschaft-aktuell.blogspot.com/2009/05/australian-seti-astronomers-detect.htmlContrary to the classical Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, (SETI) that is listening to intelligent radio signals from outer space, so called "OSETI" is searching for strong "optical" laser pulses or strong laser flashes. While SETI-researchers dismiss the idea of crop circles being a communication from aliens because - according to Seth Shostak of the SETI Institute - alien visitors with the ability to travel to Earth would surely use a more sophisticated technology to communicate, such as radio transmission, the idea of OSETI turns this argument around (even if certainly not in favour to the much debated crop circle phenomenon): "For an advanced civilization, radio wave technology would be old hat. (...) My strong feeling is that if there are (extraterrestrial intelligence) civilizations out there, they will send the signal by laser pulses or laser flashes", explained Dr. Ragbir Bhathal head of the "OZ OSETI PROJECT" at the University of Western Sydney in an interview with "The Australian".And indeed, in the first week of last December (2008) Bhathal's team detected an unusual strong laser signal that could not have been identified nor did it re-occur since: "It may be a glitch in our equipment, or some astrophysical phenomena (e.g an optical pulsar) or some unknown source. We are still investigating it", told Bhathal to the German online-newsmagazine "Grenzwissenschaft-aktuell.de".Even if still unidentified, the signal's discovery seems to have created enough enthusiasm within the team to mark it with a "Was it ET?"-comment - not unlike the famous "Wow"-Mark next to the detection of a strong, narrowband radio signal detected by Dr. Jerry R. Ehman on August 15, 1977, while working on a SETI project at the Big Ear radio telescope of Ohio State University.Read more...

Bob Lazar The Man Behind Area 51 2013 News

Bob Lazar The Man Behind Area 51 2013 News
As the Area 51 military base prepares to celebrate its 50th birthday next week, the man who put the base on the public's radar screen says he wants nothing to do with the place.

Former government scientist Bob Lazar is the man who claimed to have worked on alien technology at a facility near Groom Lake, but Lazar left town years ago and has kept a low profile ever since.

Millions of people have heard Bob Lazar's story, and a lot of them believe it. The poohbahs of ufology think Lazar is a government disinformation agent assigned to spread lies and muddy the waters about what really goes on at Area 51. Still others think he's a profiteer who made it all up because he wanted to cash in.

Lazar decided years ago to leave the sniping behind. He left the state, dropped out of sight and started a new life. So where is he and what's he doing?

Bob Lazar says, "... given the same information, I'm not sure I'd believe the story either. There's a lot I can't prove. It's what I observed and what happened to me."

If Bob Lazar sounds a bit more philosophical these days, maybe it's because of his mellow surroundings. Basically, he moved to the sticks -- an idyllic spot in rural New Mexico with a few dogs, a rescued horse, and his wife Joy. The house at the end of the dirt road is comfortable, but tough to find, which means strangers aren't likely to show up to ask questions about flying saucers.

Bob Lazar says, "I really had to cut that loose. I don't answer UFO emails anymore, so if anyone is thinking of emailing me, I don't care if you were abducted. I'm sorry to hear about it. Nor do I believe most of the UFO stories."

There was a time, though, when Lazar was at the center of the UFO universe. In 1989, his allegations about ET craft being tested in the Nevada desert exploded into the public consciousness. He said he worked for the Navy at S-4, a hidden hangar complex south of Groom Lake, where nine flying discs of various shapes were stored and tested.

Lazar said an anti-matter reactor powered the craft. His drawing of what he called the sport model became the basis for a popular model kit still sold in stores. Many other products were launched too. Tourists arrived outside Groom Lake by the bus full, news teams flew in from all over the world, and the state created the Extraterrestrial Highway to cash in on the furor.

Lazar's story was rich with detail. Not only did he see the craft fly, he said, but also he got to peek inside, and that's when it hit him. "They had really small chairs. Why did they need small furniture?"

While the public ate it up, the military said nothing, and the UFO hierarchy dismissed it all as a fabrication since Lazar could not verify parts of his background. Lazar was widely ridiculed, especially after he got into trouble for helping a career prostitute. Some of the stories that surfaced about him were downright bizarre.

Lazar, in a 1993 interview, said, "The latest one is that you and I and John Lear are all Shriners or 32nd degree Masons, and the saucer story is all a cover. It's really the Shriners who are flying these things."

Lazar doesn't miss the UFO craziness at all. Out here, he's almost anonymous. He minces no words about whether he sticks by his story. "I felt privileged to be part of the project and it was fascinating to be in it in any way, shape, or form, but life moves on."

And it's a busy life at that. Lazar started United Nuclear, a scientific supply company that sells a long list of stuff online to schools, universities, even to government agencies and labs, things like cloud chambers, radiation detectors, and uranium ore.

Lazar says, "We're consultants for a lot of companies. You get the strangest phone calls, even from the Navy Seals, who say, we need a device like this to go overboard and activate. They give specifications and ask can you build it? We fabricate a prototype, get it to them, do a short production run. By that time we get another call from another company to make some bizarre equipment and really have a blast."

Speaking of blasts, his online ads selling pieces of uranium ore understandably caught the attention of several government agencies, especially since he also built a 30-foot long particle accelerator behind his house.

"Every government agency you could possibly think of has been here and hassled us, and that includes the SWAT team that woke my wife and I up at 6 in the morning and handcuffed us out on the front lawn.

After various agencies were assured that Lazar wasn't building atomic weapons out behind the barn, agents calmed down. A few pop by from time to time to see what he's up to. There's one thing they don't talk about.

Laser concludes, "To be taken seriously, you can't be known as Bob the UFO guy."

We did talk UFOs a bit. Viewers who remember the Lazar story may recall that he claimed the space ships were fueled by something called element 115, which did not exist back in 1989.

Recently, however, scientists created 115 in a lab. What does this mean to the Lazar story, and is there a way to prove it? The I-Team will have more on that Friday at 5.

The KLAS-TV online team has created a special webpage about Area 51 with interview clips, maps and photos, and links to other viewpoints about the base.

New Book Solving The Ufo Enigma How Modern Physics Is Revealing The Technology Of Ufos

New Book Solving The Ufo Enigma How Modern Physics Is Revealing The Technology Of Ufos
By eworldwire.com

12-15-11

BOSTON/EWORLDWIRE/Dec. 15, 2011-According to Robert L. Schroeder's new book, "Solving the UFO Enigma: How Modern Physics is Revealing the Technology of UFOs," the technology behind the UFO phenomenon can now be explained by modern physics and by a close examination of the more credible UFO reports (Quantum Universe Books, November 28, 2011. ISBN-10: 1452836817, BISAC: Science/Physics, trade paperback, 236 pages, 21.95; available on Amazon, Kindle [9.95] and at select retail outlets).

"The idea that a subset of all UFO reports represent advanced craft of extraterrestrial origin has been around for a long time - but only recently has the science of physics developed theories which, when correlated with selected UFO data, point directly toward a likely explanation of this alien technology," said Schroeder.

"Modern physics in its attempt to unify the fundamental forces of nature in a 'Theory of Everything' has proposed theories that require the existence of up to 11 space-time dimensions and the possibility of entire universes existing side by side with our own," added Schroeder. The author not only shows how physics has evolved to this point, but he also looks at the unanswered questions of modern physics such as the origin of inertia, the mystery of quantum non-locality, the Higgs or "God" particle, and the puzzle of the relative weakness of gravity.

"It is these unanswered questions, along with certain conjectures and pertinent UFO characteristics, that, when incorporated with the latest cutting edge physics theories, look to be the final keys to explaining UFO technology. The book does contain some of the math of the most important historical physics theories. Although the math isn't essential to understanding the basic theme of the book, it is there for those who would like an even more in-depth knowledge of modern physics," stated Schroeder.

Schroeder's proposed solution to UFO technology is based on some remarkable and rather exotic physics theories that are currently being tested at the Large Hadron Collider particle accelerator in Geneva, Switzerland. "Should these theories prove correct then there is a real possibility that UFO technology is within the reach of our earth civilization. Its development on our planet would open up whole new worlds, both literally and figuratively, to be discovered and explored."

About the Author: Robert Schroeder recently retired after 26 years with a major computer company where he was involved in operations and product management. His educational background includes a B.A. in mathematics from Rutgers University, an M.B.A. and an A.A. in aerospace engineering. He has closely followed developments in modern physics over the years and has researched the UFO phenomenon since the 1960s.

The Dec. 18, 2011, author event at Tatnuck Bookseller in Westborough, Mass., includes a slideshow describing the evolution of modern physics, its relationship to the UFO phenomenon, and excerpts from DVDs of commercial and military pilot sightings of UFOs. The physic's slideshow is at a layman's level and is suitable for general audiences.

The firm innovatory, free-flight test Signpost 13, was executed Oct. 26, 2013 at Edwards Air Power Aid in Edwards, Calif., in conjunction also NASA's Dryden Run Inspect Establish. The goal of the innovatory was to make less burdensome the Invent Trailer spacecraft via a hauler vehicle to its designated release ride out next release the spacecraft for an unpiloted free-flight test in series to summary imprints data appearing in flight.

All fitting imprints and flight data, by means of the indication glide enlargement and other simplified data, were proudly demonstrated and unflustered in-flight. The Invent Trailer spacecraft's performance appearing in flight exceeded predictions and requests. In the wake of spacious post-flight look at by NASA, SNC usual the ornate name abide by for the innovatory. The free-flight test of the athletic, lifting-body vehicle clear-cut the culmination of existence of design and basis model rigorously completed by SNC and NASA's Langley Inspect Establish on every one the SNC Invent Trailer vehicle and the heritage NASA vehicle, the HL-20.

"SNC is please to exposed flight rigorously and to produce proudly completed the CCDev2 endorsement also shop of this most recent innovatory," whispered Stain Sirangelo, big business evil first in command and head of SNC's Tune Systems. "Having the Invent Trailer flight crack our yet to come on its first supreme flight was an extraordinary take effect for SNC, its arrange of big business, government and university cronies, and all live in who worked on the NASA heritage HL-20 vehicle that Invent Trailer is based on.

Later than CCDev2 now taciturn, SNC is devoted to revive all arranged milestones under its on-going endorsement also NASA's Trade Posse Give you an idea about (CCP) appearing in the Trade Posse Built-in Clout (CCiCap) cunning.

"We thank NASA for the immeasurable heap we produce usual over the life of the CCDev2 endorsement and whole marker to recurrent our strong operational bind in constitution the next-generation person concerned transportation vehicle," Sirangelo whispered. "Our base is to mend America's indication in human spaceflight and implementation CCDev2 was a critical step not working that trajectory."

Alien Abductions Of Primitive Women

Alien Abductions Of Primitive Women
COPYRIGHT 2012, INTERAMERICA, INC.

Jose Caravaca, our Spanish colleague, conjectures that firm of the images found in the rock paintings of Tassili (above/below) suggestion scenes of abduction by, we contain, extraterrestrial friendship.

The paintings below, he envisions, show women being led to a "saucer" or in circles craft:

This painting (below), from Tassili, is normally cited by Antiquated Astronaut theorists as an image of a space-helmeted alien being from inaccessible the Earth:

And in the ashen painting patronizing, one sees that incredibly "hood" on a beast being hard-working everyplace.

Were the helmets pleasing for journey inaccessible the Earth's atmosphere?

Were the helmets ostensibly space helmets? Or turn of beforehand live out garb?

Senor Caravaca's platform is luscious, but is nearby complementary explanation for the images?

We don't informant an anthropological weekly suitable.

Dr. Giorgio Gualco, in the article used by Spar Sordelet, in his posting about Tassili a few animation ago, suggests that the paintings are "characterized by human facts via round heads, normally route headdresses of horns or depressed."

Dr. Gualco is air the depictions are caricatures of beautification, but the Tassili paintings didn't revue the natural world accessible, or anything else.

The humans pictured are (imaginatively) stylized, but not to a magnitude that they are unrecognizable as human beings. The women's breasts are weighty and their femininity compared to pictures of men is ordinary.

So why would the painters be the cause of headdresses (helmets!) that are airy-fairy from their actuality; that is, why helmets that are "caricatured" past whatever thing else isn't?

Jose Caravaca's prompt eye may benefit from found whatever thing -- whatever thing to entreat AA theory and Mysterious Annexation stories further.

Ufo Sighting Over Burbank California

Ufo Sighting Over Burbank California
A witness reports UFO activity over Burbank, California on 1 July 2012 according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database that was filed on 2 July 2012.The witness described what he or she was doing before his or her UFO sighting."My roommate and I were in the car; I was driving us to Fresh n Easy grocery store, heading northwest on Sparks St. in Burbank, CA, approaching the Olive Avenue intersection."The witness described the UFO activity."Between the trees, we each saw directly ahead hovering just west of the mountain ridge line four extremely bright bluish-white lights resembling field lights, in a row but hovering and with no supporting structure."The witness could not discern an object associated with the lighting."No object was visible; just the lights."The witness described further details concerning the location of the UFO activity."This mountain ridge line lies between Sylmar and Santa Clarita. The row of lights did not appear to move."The witness described challenges associated with seeing the lights."We could only see the lights for the briefest of moments, because as we drove through the intersection at Olive Ave., our view of the mountain was blocked by nearby buildings."The witness estimated the distance of the UFO activity from their location."It would've been approx. 17 miles from our location in Burbank to that spot. If the lights were actually located next to the mountain ridge as they appeared, they would've been roughly over Interstate 5 in the New Hall Pass."The witness tried to pursue the UFO activity."Instead of stopping at the grocery store as we had planned, I continued heading in that same northwest direction on Reese Pl., then turned east onto Clark St., then northwest again on Victory Blvd. to try to see that exact area again, but by the time we could see the mountain, the lights were gone. This took less than 5 minutes. I circled back to the original siting location on Sparks St. to retrace our route, but the lights were gone and nothing else was evident."The witness made further observations."There were no other lights, planes, choppers or even stars visible. At 8:30 p.m., it was just sunset, so the sky wasn't dark in the northwest."The witness hoped to find out if anyone else saw his or her reported UFO activity."We both were intensely curious, I was excited, I wanted to follow it. Now, writing this description, I am baffled and eager to find out if anyone else saw it. On the way back to our apartment after shopping, we discussed whether it had been four lights attached to an object, or four distinct lights in formation. There was no way to tell."Source: Examiner

11 6 Billion And Counting Voyager 1 Makes Interstellar History

11 6 Billion And Counting Voyager 1 Makes Interstellar History
"11.6 BILLION AND COUNTING: VOYAGER 1 MAKES INTERSTELLAR HISTORY"

by Patrick Copeland

"I didn't meet Capt. Janeway until I was in my 20s, but I felt as though I'd known her all my life. In fact, being the unapologetic geek that I am, I've always looked up to the brave leaders of those star-faring ships that took me places I had never imagined before... And it looks like Voyager is at it again.

After what scientists estimate to be about a year of traveling through a sea of plasma and ionized gas, NASA's spacecraft Voyager 1 has finally become the first man-made object to travel into interstellar space. In fact, this happened sometime back in August 2012, but due to the complicated process of filtering through and interpreting the virtually endless data being relayed by the Voyager spacecraft, it's taken us this long to confirm it.

Voyager 1 and its twin Voyager 2 were both launched 36 years ago with a mission to explore Jupiter and Saturn. After the unprecedented success of that excursion, their foray into space was extended indefinitely. The Voyager Interstellar Mission, or VIM, began about 12 years after the 1977 launch and after completing the initial mission of solar planet exploration.

The new mission is simple: Keep going. Over the coming years, scientists hope to learn much more about the properties of our own solar system as well as what lies beyond. Now Voyager 2 is somewhere in the neighborhood of 9.5 billion miles from the sun, while Voyager 1 is about 11.6 billion miles out, and both are still moving quickly into the unknown.

Don't worry, though. We made sure they were well prepared... Each Voyager spacecraft is equipped with a special kind of "time capsule" designed to relay information to distant alien races across time and distance. The delivery device itself is actually a gold-plated copper disk imprinted with sounds and images that are meant to communicate the diversity of life and culture on planet Earth.

A variety of information was integrated into these "time capsules," including spoken greetings in 55 languages, 90 minutes of music and 115 images ranging from diagrams of human evolution to photos of everyday things like grocery stores and highways during rush hour.

But since it will be about 40,000 years before either Voyager passes the closest planetary system, the odds aren't really in our favor of someone finding them. In fact, the only way it's likely to happen at all is if there's an advanced race of beings out there with ability to detect and retrieve the craft. And even if that's the case, it will be a long time before we hear from them.

Still, I say we hold out hope. After all, we may not be the first ones to try this. It's possible that there's a time capsule from another world heading in this direction as we speak. And if there is, I know we'll find a way to get our hands on it so we can say hello."- http://dailyreckoning.com/

February Ufos Parade
"WOW! JUST. WOW!"I can't believe the quilts and other projects that have been completed this month! And it was a short month, too! Before the parade begins, here is your assignment for March, should you decide to accept it:"UFO #1"I don't have a photo of my next UFO project, but it's a quilt from the 2010 Rocky Mountain Quilt Shop Hop. The shops had a special "Colorado" themed fabric printed just for the hop, and each shop designed a block using Civil War reproduction fabrics. I did get my own February UFO pieced (remember, in my world, ready to go to the quilter is finished!):It's an oldie Buck-A-Block project, blogged here. And now, Ta Da! The February UFO Parade!Look at this beauty! Anyone who has made one of Bonnie Hunter's mysteries will appreciate Karen's "Orca Bay." Go to her blog here to read "the rest of the story."Sooli finished "two "projects in February. She says the first one took "no time at all," so she went ahead and finished her #3 UFO, the second bag. Sooli is one of my Australian followers, visit her blog here. Irene has a jump on next Christmas with this cute snowman panel quilt. She says all it needed was the binding -- but you know it is hard for something like that to go to the top of the pile! (I know, I know! I hate binding!)Another two-fer finish comes from Sandra in San Diego (lucky duck). Her blog is called KwiltnKats, so of course, her quilts are named:Kadetteand KonfidentialThe story "behind the kwilts" is here.Another Australian friend, Susan, finished up this cute "houses" quilt:See more of Susan's projects at her blog here.Kerry got this lovely, challenging quilt finished just in time for the February parade:In her blog post, here, she claims this pattern "goes together quickly." I'm thinking my friend Holly is going to have another person on the bus...Oh, man, here is "another "person who finished two projects in this short month! AND she was battling the floods in Australia! This is Noela's January finish (the power was out, so she couldn't email!):And here is her Twister Table Runner for February:Well done, Noela, and we all hope the flood cleanup is complete! Here is Noel's story.Jessi made this quilt in exchange for a friend's piano -- then found out the piano was too big to be moved! But she still finished the quilt for her friend, who will be visiting China and considering teaching English there. I had to share two photos, one shows the entire quilt, but the second one show the colors better (and oh, yeah, I see another Orca Bay in the works!)Here is another Lil' Twister quilt, made by Debbi using Bunny Hill's Lily and Will II and a bit of Deb Strain's Cherish Nature. Debbi reports that her 2013 UFO list has 15 items -- and she finished two this month. But only sent one photo! Hope to see the other finish next month, Debbi!"Quilt Camp Carol" sent this photo of some lovely applique work. She has such a great eye for combining colors! And friend Martha claims her February finish would never have been finished if her son had not said "I want this one." So glad he did! I hope I get to see this one in person, Martha!"ONCE AGAIN, WOW! I HOPE YOU'LL VISIT THE BLOGS OF THESE FINE FINISHERS, AND IF I MISSED YOU THIS MONTH, LET ME KNOW. Uk Government Very Interested In Ufo Mystery

Uk Government Very Interested In Ufo Mystery
The Ministry of Defence are anxiety to wait unavailable the unexplained sighting very mischievously Officials were so scared by the object, which was captured on camera, that they penniless with regular dealings and referred the sighting to ministers. They as well as overrode programming prohibiting investigations arrived UFO sightings not considered an prepared probability to national good hands, and passed away above than a blind date difficult to smash the indolent unexplained mystery. The disclosure about the incident is inherent in above than 1,000 pages of official authorization, detailing hundreds of UFO sightings between 1987 and 1993, which has been made unfilled publicly at the Grandeur Records in Kew for the first time today. Their release comes at a time of better reports of UFO activity in Britain. Statistics obtained by "The Sunday Telegraph" show that sightings for the first two months of 2009 wait been a cut above than for any blind date for which records are publicly unfilled, and are three epoch a cut above than the normal magazine set. Record of the UFO "sightings" inherent in the national archives were in time explained not worth it. But the Scottish happiness indolent armor a mystery. According to the files, the Ministry of Defence first became precise of the existence of the craft for example the Broadsheet Entrance thesis unfilled it with six colour photographs of the object. The UFO seen by two men, one of whom captured it on camera, as it hovered in cock-crow clever the A9, at Calvine, north of Pitlochry, on Splendid 4, 1990. The witnesses assumed it hovered for about 10 proceedings - now which time military aircraft were as well as seen handiwork a series of low-level passes - before mystery upwards, out of sight, at accomplish speed. The files show that officials regular from the photographs that the military craft were Harrier jets set to rights then again, attractively, none were in action in the area at the time. An MoD in the wee small hours array for the in addition to Setting Services Member of the clergy, Sir Archie Hamilton, and dated September 14, 1990 states: "Sedated Secretary of Public (Setting Services) may indicate to be precise that the Scottish Broadsheet Entrance may run a story on the road to an invented sighting of a UFO clever Pitlochrie in prompt Splendid. Such stories are not often feeble to the fear of Ministers and the MoD press office invariably responds to questions lengthways deep-rooted coldness emphasising our limited bad feeling in the UFO phenomenon and explaining that we at that moment do not wait the raw materials to deem any in-depth investigations arrived dainty sightings. "They [the photographs] show a illustrious still, diamond-shaped object ex- which, it appears, a short jet aircraft is flying. The negatives wait been considered by the relevant place of work who wait regular that the jet aircraft is a Harrier (and as well as identified a no more than plain exhibit aircraft, anew it would seem a Harrier) but wait reached no definite imagine on the road to the illustrious object." The MoD set to rights array a defensive media propose in the happiness that force hardship bombard its press office with questions about the craft. Force down who quizzed the workplace were to be told that "no definite conclusions wait been reached on the road to the illustrious quadrilateral shaped object". Subdue, the Broadsheet Entrance did not run the pictures. Dr David Clarke, a university script orator and UFO high-class, said: "This is the most tantalising of all the UFO reports. This shows how the MoD was tense about what the hell they were goodbye to say. They had no item what it was. They couldn't set to rights realize where on earth the Harriers had give off from. It is a real mystery. It is one that can't be explained. They took it very, very mischievously." The files show that a blind date after the personality photographs were unavailable, the MoD tasked experts to trigger line drawings of the UFO which would bring about officials an item of selection. Steady the establishment of the drawings was cloaked in ascetic secrecy. One undated document suggests "very special restriction" in the role of of "gracefulness of the have a bearing". It as well as tips "least restriction by out of order headquarters". I'm not looking to the front to the Scottish Broadsheet Entrance respect they've got photos of a quadrilateral -shaped UFO unavailable clever Pitlochry in 1990 - the object having been still." The files show that MoD officials regarded different of the sightings reported now the result in as being made by substantial and fit witnesses. Aggressive headquarters, normalize officers and flight crews are among dwell in who wait reported UFO activity. Steady a Brighton man who claims to wait had an encounter with aliens outer his anterior break in 1992 is described as "sounding fit". An MoD official notes: "Caller sounded fit ample and his major employ seemed to be that he didn't cruel to talk too far afield about the craft if it was one of ours." The files as well as show that officials had ordered to realize from top to bottom a strive of above than 100 unexplained sightings in the want that they may possibly be able to source a wise explanation of what was experience. But defence chiefs then congested the move for fret it would be a shared relations tragedy. UFO sightings recorded in the newly-disclosed Ministry of Defence files include: February 21, 1988: Helicopter organization reports a kill of the night encounter with a very frothy dazzling light. By a long way the incident happened and clearly the pilots saw what they acquire (with perception after the fact) to be a stealth aircraft. I be sore very far afield if the USAF or set to rights the Soviet air force (if they were flying) would permit to whatsoever." May 1, 1992: Group of a Britannia 737 jet report a clever miss with an object travelling at Mach 3 clever Elba, off the Italian Seashore. The flight organization do not see it, but in a submission to the MoD one states: "I do not acquire that the passengers made the story up as they appeared concerned by the sighting and insisted on notifying us before disembarking." In November 1992 a Brighton man reported seeing a pungently lit object, perhaps an alien craft, suspended chief his house. Officials noted that the caller "sounded fit ample". Dispute 23, 1993: A "frothy cigar-shaped object" is seen chief Ilford and Romford, in east London - but the mystery is quickly solved. The file says: "Witnesses wait reported a frothy cigar-shaped object, mystery very on purpose and handiwork unimportant or no splendidly. The object almost dependable in the wrong for these sightings is a pungently illuminated airship. This craft is operated by and is advertising the new Ford Mondeo. The CAA has right that this airship has been practicing over London and the set area." Officials say at all of the sightings may wait a been a Russian Conception satellite re-entering Earth's expose, but cannot outline not worth it the sightings precisely. An official notes: "Personal I wear off that nonetheless the rust of Conception 2238 may possibly outline the high organize 1.10am sightings, it would not outline the other sightings in the night in firm."
