A television production crew in Lima, Peru, videotaped a purple-colored disc-shaped UFO hovering in the distant sky near a construction site. So far, there's no official explanation for the object.

According to Peru This Week, a television show, "Alto al Crimen" ("High Crime"), was shooting an episode in the upscale Miraflores district of Lima on Feb. 10. The show's host, Lima Congressman Renzo Reggiardo, halted an interview to allow his camera operator to focus on the strange-looking purple object in the sky.

Both distant and zoomed-in perspectives of the UFO reveal a saucer-shaped object, with a large central bright purple section, tapering off on either end. The extreme right end appears almost black in color, while the opposite end seems to be a darker purple shade than the center part of the object. The video also reveals that sometimes the two dark ends appear to become smaller and larger.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing the aerial object for up to two hours, and yet, no video has emerged showing how the UFO left the scene. So, the question remains: How, exactly, did it go away? Did it fall to the ground, float away or speed up and vanish over the nearby ocean? Or perhaps (as in some UFO reports over the years), did it simply vanish?

The Peru chapter of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) is investigating this case, seeking more eyewitnesses who may have videotaped the purple aerial object from different vantage points.

Witness Statement: I had a visit from my brother and wife last weekend and Saturday night they recounted an interesting sighting they had about 3-4 weeks ago. They had both been in bed for a while but my sister in law decided to get up and open a window, she then noticed a line of strobing lights, a few hundred yds away down the road. She initially though it might be an aircraft although it was low, the lights were red white and possibly a blue and they flashed to create a rotating effect. It crossed the road and went out of view form her position and so she went to get my brother up, who thought it was likely a helicopter, and then moved to the back bedroom. My brother joined her and they both watched it continue moving east at the same height and speed. My brother estimated its size as being up to 100ft between the lights and although it was not fully dark no shape could be seen. Their house is on higher ground and they were able to watch for several minuets as it followed the terrain and slowly descended below their position, he said it was very low. It then did a strange looking manoeuvre where the lights went from a horizontal line to a near vertical one while still moving at the same speed and travelling in the same direction. They lost sight of it a little while latter when it dropped below houses/ trees ect several miles away.

To achieve this, Dr Hemmings analyzed the indentations of the carnassial teeth which are further apart in big cats than in dogs.

"At the moment, there are three I have found which are weighing in favor of the cat, so it is very tentatively pointing that way," he said. "All three are certainly wider than you would expect to find in a dog imprint. But we need to let the sample size build up before we have anything approaching a statistical basis." Stories have been passed around for years about the possible existence of such a creature. This gives us all a chance to be entertained and more informed at the same time."

thing for years in a continous outpouring of papers in which he
developed his Tectonic Strain Theory of UFOs.

a "helmet" using nails wrapped with many turns of wire to form

More importantly, how can a mysterious, elusive and unidentified
physical mechanism create STRUCTURED objects? This is the great
failing of the "earth-lights" theory; it attempts to solve the UFO
mystery by ignoring the actual content of the UFO report.

Any unexplained object seen in an earthquake-prone region--no
matter how artificial in appearance or "intelligent" in its actions
-suddenly becomes a byproduct of ionization, plasmas or some other
little-understood electrical process.

In 1981 I began an investigation into UFO sightings that had
occured over 20 years in a single area, the Yakima Indian
Reservation in south-central Washington state.

In the early 1980s, the MUFON UFO Journal published several of my
papers based on my preliminary findings. Now the J. Allen Hynek
Center for UFO Studies has published my complete findings as a book:

EXAMINING THE EARTHLIGHT THEORY looks microscopically at the
Tectonic Strain Theory of UFOs. I use the Yakima data (nearly 200
reports from a variety of witnesses, plus numerous color
photographs) to test the viability of the Tectonic Strain Theory
which Persinger believes explains the Yakima sightings.

The Yakima data form a "microcosm," a fascinating, self-contained
world of strange reports, which include a range of unexplained
occurences--orange balls of light, CE3's, possible abductions,
Bigfoot sightings, daylight objects, subterrrean sounds and more.

Nearly every part of the Reservation experienced some type of
unexplained event over a 20 year period, making the Yakima Indian
Reservation an excellent "laboratory" for detailed examination of
UFO phenomena.

Earthquake faults mark the ridges of the Reservation; it lies at
the foot of the volcanic Cascade Range; and fire lookouts were in
place on top of three mountains to observe and record strange lights
year after year...the right conditions for data collection, plenty
of UFOs and more than enough meticulous documentation to whet the
appetite of a curious scientist in serach of an explanation.

journey, following the sightings to their most recent occurence. All
data of this unique mini-flap are used to thoroughly evaluate the

Arthur C Clarke Said That He Seen Lots Of Ufos

"Arthur C. Clarke and Stanley Kubrick during the production of 2001: A Space Odyssey"

This post is accompanied by a very short audio clip (only 6 minutes) that features both Arthur C.Clarke and Dr. Leo Sprinkle. What does it mean that Clarke claims to have seen lots of UFOs?

The video store on my main street is going out of business, and they are selling their entire inventory. That said, I now own a copy of 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY. In the special features there is an interview with Arthur C. Clarke who wrote the short story that was the basis for the film and he also worked closely with Kubrick throughout the production as co-screenwriter.

The 16mm movie footage shows Clarke giving a short talk in a bland looking banquet room with a small gathering of people. Then he answers questions from the attendees. This took place in the months before the release of 2001, and Clarke admits he hasn't yet seen the finished film.

One question and answer near the end caught my attention.

QUESTION: Can I be pedestrian and ask about the unidentified flying objects?

CLARKE: Well can I be pedestrian and give a brief reply?

One, if you've never seen an unidentified flying object you are very unobservant.

Two, if you've seen as many as I have you won' t believe in them. "(awkward laughter from the room)"

Three, they have nothing to do with visitors from space.

Four, it is impossible to prove three. "(hearty laughter from the room)"

When he says: "...if you've seen as many as I have you won' t believe in them," I think he is trying to say he has moved beyond "believing" and into "knowing". To me, this is very interesting.

He is admitting he's seen a lot of UFOs. This is highly unusual, and if someone like Budd Hopkins heard him say this, I am quite certain his eyebrows would raise. Most abduction researchers will jump to the conclusion that ANYONE WITH MORE THAN A FEW UFO SIGHTINGS IS QUITE PROBABLY AN ABDUCTEE. Personally, I'm not sure what to think.

The interesting thing is that people who have experienced a UFO abduction will quite often be totally focused on the subject of UFOs and the contact experience, and this seems to neatly define Arthur C. Clarke.

The audio download (linked HERE) also includes Dr. Leo Sprinkle sharing a story about meeting Clarke and having him tell about seeing a flying saucer the very night he and Kubrick agreed to do the movie 2001.

All this said, I actually don't know too much about Clarke (except that I read Rendezvous with Rama in high school) so if anyone can help me out here, I'd be grateful.

"TEXT AND VIDEO ADDED MARCH 19TH 2012:I found a documentary I remember seeing in 1980. In the opening sequence, Clarke states that he has seen six very clear UFOs in the sky, he adds that he has seen others that weren't as impactful. This film looks into the mysteries surrounding witness reports. He was quite a rational skeptic, being cautious not to jump to extraordinary conclusions. The transcript below starts at the 15:15 time count.CLARKE: ("after discussing the challenges of sighting reports") And that of course is the trouble with long range sightings, we can never be absolutely sure what they were, and even if it was a visitor form outer-space, we couldn't prove it.

For this reason I am no longer interested in UFO sightings.

But what does intrigue me, what is very mysterious, are the so called close encounters.The documentary then goes on to dig into a series of entity experiences. I posted one of the witness reports previously because I was impressed by Mrs. Jesse Roestenburg's credibility (linked HERE), although it's a different interview. And the other story is deeply impressive if only for the witnesses beautiful Scottish accent.

Ufo Sighting In Houston Texas On October 11Th 2013 Star Like Bright Object Hovering Then Moved Directions

I was in my parked car with my boyfriend, talking. We were outside of my brothers house waiting for him to come home. While I was talking I noticed what I thought was a larger and brighter than usual "star". I even stopped and mentioned it to my boyfriend but he didn't think much of it. I couldn't stay focused in our conversation because I kept looking back at the bright star. I knew it wasn't an airplane because it was not moving it was just there but it was so bright and larger than a regular star. My boyfriend and I continued talking and maybe like 20 minutes passed when I looked back up and noticed the star had moved. It was lower than when I first saw it and it wasn't like a little lower it had moved enough for me to notice it right away. I pointed that out to my boyfriend but he really didn't think much of it and I don't think he had really looked at it anyway. I didn't actually see it move because I took my eyes off of it for a little bit. It was stationary or hovered in place. I ended up getting out of the car and going inside the house because my brother got home. I don't know what happened to it and I didn't go back to check on it, though I kept thinking about it and now wish I would've grabbed some benaculurs. I looked up sightings in my area and found a few stories of people reporting seeing the same thing these past few months.

3 Very Large Objects In Space Flying To Earth

E.T. does not need to phone home anymore, someone, or something is on it's way to earth.

SETI Astrophysicist Craig Kasnov has announced the approach to the Earth of 3 very large, very fast moving objects. The length of the "flying saucers" is in the range of tens of kilometers. Landing, according to calculations of scientists, should be in mid-December 2012. Date coincides with the end of the Mayan calendar.

A few very large objects rapidly approaching the Earth - says SETI astrophysicist Craig Kasnov. Don't take his word for it you can check it out for yourself. He recommends to go to the site http://www.sky-map.org/ and enter the coordinates of the giant UFO:

19 25 12 -89 46 03 - the first large object

16 19 35 -88 43 10 - a cylindrical object

02 26 39 -89 43 13 - the object as a circle

The project participants are assured that the facilities are absolutely real, and the American space agency NASA is trying to conceal important information.

None of these objects can be seen from the northern hemisphere. The second set of numbers in each line tells us that the "object" or "objects" is/are coming in from very deep in the southern hemisphere sky.

In any case, the only thing we can do now - wait for it - says Kasnov. - Soon celestial objects will be visible in a good telescope.

Keep your eyes on the skies... the truth is out there.
