I had just spent a week hunting with two friends in the High Uintas Mountains in Utah. On our last day we packed up and where heading home. We had come up in two SUV vehicles so on the way back I was driving alone. We were going to meet up in Evanston at a restaurant to eat before the last push to where we lived in Utah. My two buddys where in the frist SUV and I was following them. As we reached Highway I noticed several deer just eating grass on the side of the Highway. I slowed down to look at the deer amazed that after a week of hunting not seeing any deer worth taking there large groups so close to the road. I was looking to see if there were any Bucks but all I could see was Doe's. When I looked up my buddys SUV was not in front of me the road was very curvy so I figured he was just out of sight but he could not have been more the 30 seconds ahead of me. I was pushing it a little trying to catch up to them but it was very dark with no moon up, and the road has not very straight. Most of the time there was nothing on both side of the road but woods. Somewhere near the Wyoming border I am not sure exactly which side, I had just came out of a slight right curve my radio went out, followed by my Jeep SUV beginning to slow down like my truck had just be shut off in neutral. Then from the field to my back right a huge bright light came on like a spot light. I remember turning to look at the light and then the light fading. I remember turning around and realizing the SUV had stopped rolling and was dead. I remember looking around not seeing any thing but the dark night, then the truck lights slowly came on. I was confused and scared. I started the jeep and just wanted to get away. I remember driving as fast as I could for about another 20 minutes or so to get to Evanston. When I arrived at the restaurant where my friends were already seated and there food was coming out. They told me they had been there for 25-30 minutes and asked me what talk me so long and gave me a hard time for driving so slow. I told them about the light but when they started giving me a hard time I just dropped it. This event has stayed with me very clearly over the years, I have told some of my close family and one or two friends. One friend of mine that I told brought it up in front of other friends to embrace me. So I really have just kept this to myself. They reason I am reporting this is when I came home today my son was watching a show on TV about a family that had a similar event happen to them and they mentioned they reported it to MUFON. I don't know what happened or think I ever will but I felt I needed to tell my story.

The CA UFO sighting was titled, "Black solid egg shape with orange lights on the bottom." The reporter's name is not displayed, but the artist rendering that accompanied the report is stamped with "Jeremy Nolen Graphic Design."

"First saw [the unidentified flying object] coming from the west, it looked like a fiery object floating in the sky. Then as it moved east it stopped and hovered for a few seconds, then it started coming towards me for about 10 seconds, then it stopped and hovered as if it knew I was looking at it," reads the brief UFO sighting report.

"Then it started to slowly move to the east again. I ran inside and grabbed my mom and my uncle. We all watched it float away before it just vanished somewhere over USD college. I got a really good look at it thru my binoculars for about 1 minute. No sound. Hovered, then moved, changing directions." It is understood from the description on the image that the "mom and uncle" saw the same strange craft.

"Looked like molten fire was dripping off of it as it flew slowly by. I didnt want to run and grab my camera in fear that it would go away." The MUFON report ended here. In lieu of a photo, the witness sent a graphic image to show what he saw through his binoculars.

The CA UFO report was submitted on Feb. 1, but the sighting happened on Nov. 17. It is not, however, unusual that a report was submitted months away from date of sighting. Single Site On Mars Advanced For 2016 Nasa Lander

NASA's next mission to Mars, scheduled to launch one year from today to examine the Red Planet's deep interior and investigate how rocky planets like Earth evolved, now has one specific site under evaluation as the best place to land and deploy its science instruments.

The mission called InSight -- an acronym for "Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport" -- is scheduled to launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. The launch period runs from March 4 to March 30, 2016, and will mark the first California launch of an interplanetary mission. Installation of science-instrument hardware onto the spacecraft has begun and a key review has given thumbs up to integration and testing of the mission's component systems from several nations participating in the international project.

The landing-site selection process evaluated four candidate locations selected in 2014. The quartet is within the flat-lying "Elysium Planitia," less than five degrees north of the equator, and all four appear safe for InSight's landing. The single site will continue to be analyzed in coming months for final selection later this year. If unexpected problems with this site are found, one of the others would be imaged and could be selected. The favored site is centered at about four degrees north latitude and 136 degrees east longitude.

"This is wondrous terrain, exactly what we want to land on because it is smooth, flat, with very few rocks in the highest-resolution images," said InSight's site-selection leader, Matt Golombek of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California.

Mars orbiters have provided detailed information about the candidate sites, which are mapped as landing ellipses about 81 miles (130 kilometers) west-to-east by about 17 miles (27 kilometers) north-to-south. An ellipse covers the area within which InSight has odds of about 99 percent of landing, if targeted for the ellipse center. Several types of terrain, such as "cratered, etched" and "smooth" were mapped in each ellipse. The one chosen for final evaluations has highest proportion in the smooth category.

After InSight reaches Mars on Sept. 28, 2016, the mission will assess properties of the planet's crust, mantle and core. The interior of Mars has not been churned as much as Earth's because Mars lacks the tectonic activity that recycles Earth's crustal plates back into the mantle. Thus, Mars offers an opportunity to find clues no longer present on Earth about how rocky planets such as Earth, Mars, Venus and Mercury formed and evolved.

InSight's primary science will study the planet's interior, not surface features. Besides safety for the landing, the main site-selection criterion is for the ground within reach of the lander's robotic arm to be penetrable for a heat-flow probe designed to hammer itself into the soil to a depth three to five yards, or meters.

Evidence that the ground will be suitable for the probe, rather than rock solid, comes from assessment by the Thermal Imaging System on NASA's Mars Odyssey orbiter of how quickly the ground cools at night or warms in sunlight, and evaluation of images from the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment on NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.

The heat-flow probe is a key part of InSight's Heat Flow and Physical Properties Package (HP3) provided by the German Aerospace Center (DLR). Electronics for that instrument were the first hardware from the science payload put onto the InSight spacecraft being assembled and tested at Lockheed Martin Space Systems, Denver.

"As flight components such as the HP3 electronics become available, our team continues to integrate them on the spacecraft and test their functionality," said Stu Spath, InSight spacecraft program manager at Lockheed Martin. "We're steadily marching toward the start of spacecraft environmental testing this spring."

InSight's robotic arm will also place another science instrument onto the ground. This is the Seismic Experiment for Interior Structure, or SEIS, from the French Space Agency (CNES), with components from Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.

A third experiment will use the radio link between InSight and NASA's Deep Space Network antennas on Earth to measure precisely a wobble in Mars' rotation that could reveal whether the planet has a molten or solid core. Wind and temperature sensors from Spain's Center for Astrobiology and a pressure sensor will monitor weather, and a magnetometer will measure magnetic disturbances.

The project passed its System Integration Review in February. "A panel of experts from outside the project reviewed the system-level integration and test program," said InSight Project Manager Tom Hoffman, of JPL. "For Insight, there are multiple systems being brought together from several countries for final integration and testing in Denver."

InSight and other NASA current and future projects will help inform the journey to Mars, an agency priority to send humans to the Red Planet in the 2030s.

He has published several articles on crop circles and UFOs in UFO Magazine; UFO Reality and the Circular / Cerealogist magazines and has participated in various documentaries on these subjects including 'Sightings'; 'Contact' by Bert Janssen and 'Crop Circles- Crossovers into another Dimension' by Terje Toftenes. He works as an artist and graphic designer, and is currently living in Cheshire, UK.On the morning of July 14th 2003, I witnessed the creation of a crop formation close to the Kennet & Avon canal, about half a mile due south of Woodborough Hill, near Pewsey, Wiltshire UK. The formation appeared within a period of a few minutes or less, coinciding with the close proximity of two unmarked, probably military helicopters. Some of this incident was captured on film and the following report details what I experienced over a period of three hours.On the morning in question, I had decided to walk to Woodborough Hill, after leaving my car parked in Woodborough village at 09.15 hrs. This walk normally takes about thirty minutes and the route is via the Kennet & Avon canal and Woodborough Barns along a public right of way.On reaching the canal bridge [known as Woodborough Bridge], I stopped to take in the view and scanned the surrounding crop-fields to the north. This I repeated at regular intervals until I reached the summit of Woodborough Hill at 09.45 hrs.I can confirm with absolute certainty that there were no unusual ground markings / crop formations present in any of the fields south of Woodborough Hill, which would have been easily visible either from the canal bridge, the farm track, or the summit of the hill. From this location, at about 10.00 hrs, I noticed two dark coloured helicopters manoeuvring at very low level near Woodborough canal bridge. Through binoculars they appeared to be Apache Longbow 'gunships' as deployed by the Army Air Corps. In order to obtain a closer look, I ran down the track towards the canal, but after a period of only several minutes both helicopters flew off in the direction of Warminster to the south-west.I arrived at the canal bridge at about 10.30 hrs and almost immediately became aware of a very loud rumbling noise which seemed to be approaching from the west. Suddenly, two very large helicopters appeared, black in colour with no obvious markings or serial numbers, and fully armed. I was quickly spotted by the pilots and one of the aircraft flew towards me and took up a very low-level hovering position near the canal bridge. Feeling very vulnerable, I took cover behind some bushes adjoining the bridge. My attention was drawn to the other helicopter which had descended to ground level about several hundred yards over the field to my right. The crop below the helicopter was swirling violently as a result of the downbeat of the rotor blades and I noticed that an unusual apparatus was hanging beneath the fuselage which was about five feet in diameter, black in colour, spherical in shape with a short tube like protuberance beneath it and pointing at the ground.After a few seconds, I was somewhat taken aback to see and hear what appeared to be an explosive updraft of colourless steam or water vapour from the surface of the crop directly underneath the fuselage of the helicopter, which covered an area of approximately one hundred feet. This was accompanied by a loud hissing or sizzling sound, similar to that of rapidly cooling steam under pressure. The effect of this rising 'vapour' was to forcefully hit the underside of the helicopter, causing it to pitch and sway. Perhaps for safety reasons, the pilot rapidly ascended to a slightly higher altitude. After a matter of several seconds, the 'vapour' dissipated leaving an indistinct mark in the crop. I barely had time to deploy my video recorder, which had been packed away in my rucksack. Glancing at my watch, it was apparent that about four minutes had elapsed since the appearance of the helicopters.With my video camera now deployed, I ran down the track in order to obtain a clearer view of the incident. Almost immediately, the helicopter carrying the sphere-like apparatus swiftly gained altitude and moved off in the direction of Pewsey to the east. Meanwhile, the remaining helicopter, which had been making repeated low-level passes, perhaps in order to distract me from observing his colleague, also flew off in the direction of the military ranges over Salisbury Plain to the south. At this point I distinctly remember checking the the time-clock on my video camera which read 10.41 hrs.What happened next is still not entirely clear because the last thing I remember is noticing a new crop formation [the Woodborough Bridge formation] precisely where the second helicopter had been hovering and beneath which the 'water vapour' had risen from the crop. The following forty-five minutes were completely lost to me, because at 11.30 hrs I again found myself standing on the summit of Woodborough Hill without any memory of having walked to the hill from the canal bridge. Interestingly, the time-clock on my video camera inexplicably 'jumps' from 10.41 hrs to 11.24 hrs in a single frame. This is definitely not an edit or as a result of having paused or stopping the camera. The time-clock had been accurately set and tested three weeks previously and I had installed a new lithium battery. Despite this confusion, what is certain is that between 10.30 hrs and 10.41 hrs on the morning of 14th July 2003, coinciding with the presence of two unmarked helicopters, one of which deployed what appeared to be some exotic form of technology over the surface of the crop, a new formation appeared in a matter of seconds, which definitely wasn't there before 10.30 hrs.It is possible that the pilots, whether military or otherwise, were vectored to this location because they had prior knowledge of the imminent appearance of this formation, possibly in order to record or participate in its creation, for reasons we do not yet fully comprehend. Enquiries with the Ministry of Defence would no doubt prove fruitless, although there can be little doubt that the military are implicated in incidents involving the crop circle phenomenon, evidence of which has accumulated over the years through research and video recordings.Later on the morning of 14th July, I was able to make a thorough ground survey of the formation which was fairly typical of other similar 'pictograms', with a neat and tidy ground or floor 'lay' with very little obvious damage or breakage of the crop stems and seed heads. There was no evidence of any mechanical pressure having been applied via the use of stomping boards or garden roller. I would be very interested in contacting other researchers should they have further information regarding this formation, particularly aerial photographs, detailed ground surveys and perhaps more importantly, any results of crop sampling and testing from this formation. Full Description of event/sighting: Walking up Richmond Drive towards Woodborough road, at approx 12.40am, looked up through the trees and saw a red/orange/yellow pulsing rugby ball shape in the sky moving slowly and silently - hard to judge distances as it was dark, passed virtually overhead. Watched it for approx: 30 seconds as it went slowly overhead then moved behind trees and obscured from view. Weird.

I was walking my dog when I looked at the sky and saw a bright fireball with a tail falling to earth. I assume. It was pink, yellow, and orange. My dog and I ran all the way home, and I told my husband, and I called a friend, and even emailed a sort of expert. I did not realize I could report it on here till now. It was falling towards New Hampshire. I live in Maine. My husband and I watched it fade out of sight. Likely a meteor, but it was pretty big looking. I never found any reports on it.

A Tale Of Two Offices

Dayton, Ohio must have been a very weird place to be in the late 1940s, especially if you worked for the U.S. Air Force and were stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. I say this because over the past few days I have been reading two very different accounts of UFO research activities at Wright-Patterson, and the contrasts are beyond bizarre...

Why would UFO research be done at all at a base in Dayton, Ohio, you might ask. It seems strange, but Wright-Patterson has always been associated with advanced aircraft testing, and so every time the Air Force gets its hands on a crashed UFO they bundle it up and ship it off to Dayton, where it will officially baffle and confuse our best and brightest aeronautical engineers. Which means that anyone hoping to find a salvaged UFO at Area 51 is going to be disappointed. They're all in Ohio! Ditto on the alien corpses.

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where the U.S. government probably maybe keeps its UFOs and aliens.

You would think that that would make Wright-Patterson a pretty cool place to be between 1948 and 1952, and you would be right. But, it was only cool for certain people working in certain offices.

Take the experience of June Crain, in whom who I have now taken a special interest. This woman worked as a secretary/office manager for several offices at Wright-Patterson between 1942 and 1952. For the last few years of her employment, she worked for Air Materiel Command, and had earned a SECRET Q security clearance, which could mean that she was cleared to know about anything starting with the letter Q, or could mean something different entirely. The point is, once a person goes beyond Super Triple Top Secret, as June Crain did, the security nomenclature starts to make very little sense at all.

Be that as it may, everyone at Wright-Patt with a SECRET Q security clearance knew everybody "else "at Wright-Patt with a SECRET Q security clearance, and since they couldn't talk about their work with anyone "without "a SECRET Q security clearance they all spent a lot of time talking with each other about SECRET Q-y-type things going on at the base. As it happened, a lot of those SECRET Q-y-type things had to do with crashed UFOs and alien corpses being delivered to the Air Material Commend offices, where Ms. Crain would have to sign for the deliveries and make sure all the corpses were accounted for. Actually, that's not true, but because of her security clearance, the people who really did handle UFO wreckage and alien corpses spoke freely in front of her and even to her about the strange things in the basement... and her testimony, given many years later to UFO researcher James Clarkson, rings true.

Which makes it all the more ironic that at the exact same time, at the exact same Air Force Base, the dedicated staff of Project Sign (which begat Project Grudge, which in turn begat Project Blue Book) were working night and day to convince the American public that there were no such things as flying saucers and aliens from space.

The chapters in J. Allen Hynek's book "The UFO Experience: A Scientific Inquiry" in which he describes his role in the Air Force's official UFO research group paint a picture of an understaffed, unmotivated, directionless team of low-ranking officers and functionaries who couldn't be bothered to do even the most rudimentary investigative work, and always came the same predetermined dismissal of every UFO sighting case that they looked at.

Did the two offices know of each others' existence? In one office, you have SECRET Q June Crain hearing about nighttime deliveries of alien corpses and being given glimpses of strange alien metal, and in another office, perhaps right down the hall, you've got low-ranking Air Force officers with YOU ARE NOT CLEARED FOR SHIT security clearance blithely telling the American public that every UFO report they read about in the papers was just some yokel who either misidentified the planet Venus or should be in a straitjacket at the local asylum, or both.

Somehow, it is all too easy to believe that the two offices had no clue the other existed...

Mj 12 Majic And The Doomsday Blueprints

"It seems that the good folks at Reality Uncovered" have no appreciation for a "working assumption."

And even less of a sense of humor.

They certainly cannot understand the benefit of imaginative, non-linear creative thought as an approach to a problem.

In this case the problem at hand involves highly controversial UFO disclosure allegations sparked by the unconfirmed MJ-12 Eisenhower Briefing Document, or MJ-12 EBD.

The MJ-12 EBD was previously declared "BOGUS!" by the FBI, based upon input from the Air Force Office of Special Investigation (AFOSI).

Rather than repeating myself ad nauseam here, I will skip the gory details now archived for your amusement at Reality Uncovered, and present the latest results.

I normally do not work with documents that have not been officially released by the US government. In this case I have made an exception due to some unusual details which I believe remain unexplained. I also risk repeating numerous efforts already undertaken and written about in popular UFO literature which I am mostly unfamiliar with.

In January of this year, Lee Graham sent me a package containing documents copied from his his Defense Investigative Service (DIS) file. Some of the documents had been stamped with an UNCLASSIFIED marking I hadn't seen used in the declassified documents I was familiar with from the CIA's STAR GATE collection.

One of the DIS file UNCLASSIFIED documents was the MJ-12 EBD. Another was a hand-written letter from John Andrews of Testor Corporation from the 1980s.

Rather than taking the FBI for their word (see the FBI FOIA reading room) I thought it might be educational to examine the MJ-12 EBD against real classified documents from the same time period.

After several frustrating searches, a moment of inspiration lead me to realize I had missed the most important clue: the slash following TOP SECRET, as in TOP SECRET/MAJIC.

If you click on the image at the top of this post, you can clearly see the use the slash in TOP SECRET/SENSITIVE followed by another caveat, XGDS, which means EXEMPT from General Disclosure Schedule.

You will also notice that this was determined by the originating authority for the document at the National Security Council (NSC): Henry Kissinger.

The next item is the hand written note from John Andrews which has been stamped UNCLASSIFIED next to his signature.

I should mention that the reason for all of this was due to Andrews giving Graham the designation for the F-117 Stealth while it was still secret. Graham in turn passed that information to Vice President Dan Quayle's office, along with a copy of the MJ-12 EBD.

The next item is the "warning notice" from the EBD, with TOP SECRET - EYES ONLY and the TOP SECRET/MAJIC stamp at the bottom, followed by the UNCLASSIFIED marking added before the document found it's way into the DIS file and back to Graham.

Also notice what appears to be an exemption on the MJ-12 EBD: "T52-EXEMPT."

To the right of the MJ-12 EBD you will see the TOP SECRET/SENSITIVE - XGDS (3) by Kissinger, for comparison. Keep in mind the EBD was allegedly produced in 1952 and the Kissinger document is from 1975.

The next paragraph is a SECRET message from FBI HQ to their Dallas field office where they state that AFOSI advised them the EBD was "BOGUS."

The final paragraph was sent to Lee Graham by AFOSI after he sent a Freedom of Information Request asking for documentation to support the FBI HQ claim.

"AFOSI does not posses any records that would prohibit you from circulating the copies of the unclassified briefing [MJ-12 EBD]."

The final piece which IMHO may be related to this mystery are the so-called "Doomsday Blueprints" discussed in an article from TIME Magazine.

It would seem that the issue of a possible preemptive nuclear strike against the Soviet Union had driven the Eisenhower administration to prepare for martial law: in other words "martial jurisdiction," or, perhaps, and this is purely speculative on my part, MJ.

According to the article:

In a White House vault were Eisenhower's standby crisis orders, already initialed by the President, including some that would have imposed martial law...

A "secret" White House memo dated 1956 records his rebuke when a Cabinet Secretary noted that 450 people were evacuated "rather smoothly" during an exercise. Eisenhower "reminded the Cabinet that in a real situation, these will not be normal people -- they will be scared, will be hysterical, will be 'absolutely nuts.' We are going to have to be prepared to operate with people who are 'nuts.' "

He warned his Cabinet not to get entangled in bureaucratic details. "Who is going to bury the dead?" asked Eisenhower. "Where would one find the tools? The organization to do it? We must not assume that we are going to handle these problems with calmness." Later he observed, "We will be running soup kitchens -- we are going to be taking care of a completely bewildered population." He feared anarchy. "Government which goes on with some kind of continuity will be like a one-eyed man in the land of the blind," the White House memo concluded.

Going further on a limb, one might speculate that under the martial order, to assure a balance of power, the governing military authority (MA) would fall upon a select group of persons -- a committee -- perhaps modeled after the elite Joint Intelligence Committee who also served on the Intelligence Advisory Committee, all neatly connected to the Joint Chiefs and the NSC.

Which of course brings us back to the Kissinger memo and the TOP SECRET/... and the idea of a MA JIC oversight for MJ?

From our meager start in January of 2005 we have grown to boast readers in over 170 countries, have over 3500 articles archived and some of the brightest minds in Ufology have contributed to our efforts via penscript, articles, op-eds etc. We've expanded to include video, audio and our own radio show is currently in the works. Lastly, and not to forget, this is a researcher's enterprise, and accordingly, we are always engaged in said research and investigation into the UFO phenomenon and various cases.

What began as a blog for myself and colleagues to put the proverbial pen to paper, as well as being a repository for current and historical UFO reports, has grown into a full-fledged e-zine and with that evolution comes the corresponding labor, time invested and costs to manage it.

As this became a full-time job (in the second year) and readership was continuing to grow exponentially, many suggested that it was time to line up some sponsors, and after 6 years we did so, beginning in January (this year 2011). Great care is being put into this effort in order to meld any such ads with our content and "hopefully" not be a distraction for the reader.
