The Paranormal And The Skeptic

The Paranormal And The Skeptic
I spend a great deal of time writing about events connected to the Paranormal. I write about experiences that are unknown and often incredible. I have lived many of these things, which gives me first hand knowledge of what I write about. I also investigate and report on events others have seen or lived through. I tell it as I see it, hear it or lived it.

Recently, I ran into a person I had not seen for a while. I use to discuss politics with this person or current events. I never discuss my interests with this person, as it always would end with an insult in my direction. Seeing this man got me thinking.

I rarely mention or talk about my paranormal interests in groups of people unless I know they are interested in the subject. The reason I do this as I find the reaction of many a mix of boredom, fear or immediate sarcasm and laughter. I admit to staying clear of those reactions and becoming an expert at small talk. I also admit the small talk developed as I find those who react with complete negativity to all paranormal subjects, boring, dull thinking and far too fearful for any deep lasting conversations. Yes, I can be arrogant, years of dealing with close-minded skeptics taught me the way!

The point of my opinion here today, is to vent my frustration with the world's skeptics. I try to understand why they are so aggressive in demanding that those who have had, seen, or been involved in a paranormal experience, are ALWAYS WRONG!

I fully understand that anyone can say anything with little real truth. I understand that ones word is not enough to trust in something as huge as UFO's.

I also understand that we have to weigh those who seem to be truthful against those who simply want attention. I also know that world wide there are too many sightings, too many people of good standing, too many video's photo's bits and pieces of things not understood or explained to simply claim nothing is happening.

I heard a skeptic on a television talk show spew his final blow of the show with the incredible statement of " in today's world of phone cams, video cams and cameras if there was something out there we would have people recording it all the time...." I nearly fell off my chair as the host of the show allowed this skeptic to end with such a ludicrous remark without rebuttal! I can only think not only the skeptic, but the host of this show never watch the news, or looks at the inter net, they certainly do not look at you tube or listen to Coast to Coast or Kevin Smiths show! In fact to avoid the huge amount of photo's, videos, worldwide reports. Stories and claims of thousands and thousands yearly on the UFO subject, you must truly live a sheltered protected existence.

I recently talked to a man I know who when it comes to the paranormal, falls into the (it bores me, I do not care about it) thinking of mankind. I respect that. The things this man talks about endlessly without much update or growth of opinion bores me. In return, I as well, "rarely" find much to care about in his conversation. The difference is, as a skeptic he feels free to insult me about subjects he knows absolutely nothing about. However, I am expected to listen with care to his thoughts. That is the double standard here with those who accept the paranormal as a subject and those who dismiss it. They feel perfectly free to dismiss those who have knowledge of things they know nothing about, yet feel they deserve respect concerning their close-minded views. Is it me, or is something not in balance here?

Lets be honest here. Paranormal events are being reported day in and day out. They come with cell phone pictures, videos and photo's galore. You have people from every country in the world on every level of society reporting seeing, dealing with or enduring close encounters of all kinds. It isn't that the subject is silly or without merit. The fact is the subject seems to upset the skeptic. It is the fear or lack of knowledge of those who refuse to deal with it that is the issue. Not the subject.

I find it amusing to be told by a man who sits in a politics chat room 8 hours a day debating the worlds problems, with the same views with the same people, "bored", by the subject of other life forms. One would think if such a person is so fearful of the worlds status, they would certainly be curious about a possible life form far greater on every level than our own crossing our sky day in and day out! We know who our enemies are on the earth's surface. We remain clueless about what may be coming our way. My thinking is to be as prepared as can be. Staying blind to what is, only keeps us defenseless to what may be our next hurdle. Turning away from truth can never be the answer.

Skeptics will remain. I understand them, I just do not agree with the degree of proof they require before opening up their minds a bit to the unknown. I also feel they can be rude and ridiculous when making statements like the man on that talk show. Really where has he been and could someone show him the inter net! I think all of the other close-minded people out there really need to investigate with more care that which they scoff. I think they are missing much of what really goes on in this world and have seriously walled themselves into a place of chosen reality that deals little with truth. I think the time is coming where all of this will be clear and disclosed for us all.

As one who has touched the unknown, seen the truth and understands the reality of it all. I find all whom insult and demand from me more than my word useless to me. I can tell you, I can warn you, but I will not force you. Believe, as you will. It is your destiny too. Go to it aware and informed or blinded and lost. We all must walk our own path our own way. Just stop insulting me for facing my journey, my way!
