A Constrast In Chupies

A Constrast In Chupies
"(Such a weird bit of synchronicity -- I had just finished this piece, checked out the Anomalist, found the following link to Micah A. Hanks Gralien Report to his excellent chupie article: Blood-Sucking Chupacabra to Blame for Farm Deaths? !)"

Over ten years ago, when I first heard about the chupacabras, images of the creature weren't easy to find. There were no actual photos or video of the creature, though some supposed real ones, like this one:

The story that I recall accompanying the above image was that a custodian in the Los Angeles area (I think) had found it.

There were also the "alien" chupacabra renderings:

Along with the stories. Red glowing eyes, spines on the back, jumping extremely high or "flying," found on rooftops, trees, going over fences. Claw like hands, bipedal. And the dead animals found in the creature's wake: chickens, rabbits, etc. were found to have been desanguiated (completely drained of blood) with only two deep puncture wounds in their necks.

The stories of the chupacabras, originating from Puerto Rico, soon "jumped" and stories of the creature started to come out of Florida and Mexico. And I remember short news item from Coast to Coast, via Art Bell, that there were reports of chupacabras in Oregon!

(Stories of the chupacabras, while new to some of us in the United States, were not new to others. Puerto Rico has a history of blood sucking creature lore, for example, as Micah Hanks discusses in his recent article on chupie.)

The above stories of the chupacabras involved: bipedal, spiny backed, high jumping, red eyed, blood sucking creatures. Often an alien from space component accompanied these stories; speculations that "chupie" was an alien, or alien "pet." Other speculations: that the creature was a government experiment gone horribly awry. More prosaic explanations offered: an undiscovered bat, or animal of some type unknown to science.

But in none of the above accounts the chupacabras was said to look like a hairless dog or raccoon.

For whatever reasons, the evolution of the chupacabras story has morphed from the glowing red eye spine backed bipedal creature to a mangy dog like creature, at least here in the states. Monster Quest has gone with this idea:

More Chupacabra Sightings In Texas

More Chupacabra Sightings In Texas
It seems taking into account another time that Texas is the hot spot for seeming Chupacabra sightings. An thug control office in Head covering Zone, Texas shot and killed a creature that was thin on top and didn't end product believe suchlike he had consistently seen since. But that wasn't the single-handedly creature that was seen. Different creature past similiar scenery was spotted and killed several miles away. The thug control administrator was nimble not to say whether he killed the eminently goat mug or not. The thug was sent away for DNA tests (most possible at tax payers safekeeping) since he makes a decesion. He did say he knew anything it was it wasn't normal. Different administrator acknowledged that it was zero believe she had consistently seen since. To me that the creature revealed in the video is either a coyote or dog assessment from mange, which would light the lack of prickle. As for the emanicapted end product, that can be explained by both the mange and the fact the creature was problably hungry (which would light why one was in the barn, most possible it was searching for supply). I found it a bit witticism that the storyteller was looking for a "packet of Chupacabras" at the end of the video and the rancher assumed if he was a Chupacabra, that a positive bang of trees is in which he would live. Degree of me was in suspense everything would attach jumped out what he investigated the bang of trees, but alas zero happaned. Eagerly what the DNA tests answer transmission that this was zero more than an thug past mange dash life-force dig up that these aren't Chupacabras. But that has happened since and zero has malformed. Meanwhile the real Chupacabra is in Puerto Rico pleased at all the imposters in Texas and the rest of the Southwest.Adorn to Brodiemash over at the DumbDrum for deliverance me the video.

Sigbin

Sigbin
Sigbin or Zegben. Some say that this is another form that the Aswang transforms into and yet some say it is the companion of the kikik. Its appearance is said to be similar to the chupacabra and Tasmanian devil in appearance, although with spotty fur. It supposedly has a wide mouth with large fangs. * One of the most popular legends in the visayas region is the infamous Aswang Tiniente Gimo(lieutenant Gimo) of the town of Due~nas, Iloilo.Sigbin is a creature of Philippine mythology said to come out at night to suck the blood of victims from their shadows. The creature walks backward with its head lowered between its hind legs. It resembles a hornless goat, emits a very nauseating smell and possess a pair of very large ears which are capable of clapping like a pair of hands. It is also claimed to issue forth from its lair during Holy Week, looking for children that it will kill for the heart, which is made into an amulet. * It is also believed that there are families known as Sigbinan ("those who own Sigbin"), who possess the power to command them. The aswang is said to keep it as a pet, along with another mythical creature, a bird known as the Wakwak. The sigbin is said to bring wealth and luck to its owners. In the Eastern Visayas they are also known as the Amamayong. There is speculation that the legend may be based on sightings of an actual animal species that is rarely seen; based on the description of the sigbin in popular literature, the animal species might be related to the kangaroo.Borneo of the cat-fox, a potential new species of carnivore described as having hind legs that are lower than its front legs, the animal species that is the possible basis of the legend as well as the reported sightings of sigbin may belong to or is related to the cat-fox species.
