Fbi Debunks Claims That Popular X File Is Evidence Of Ufos

Now the FBI has decided it's time to formally respond to the vicious cycle of misinformation, saying on its blog that the memo was originally published publicly in 1970, and that the second- or third-hand report was unverified. In fact, the agency didn't even take the story seriously enough to investigate it. During a promotional interview for the last game in the XCOM series, Pope told reporters that Britain had weapon capabilities specifically geared toward an alien invasion.

Message boards were quick to point at Pope's government ties.

"[Is this] a green light for alien propaganda?" wrote one user.

"Mr. Pope cannot tell full truths, as it is with many [government] employees," another added. "There are pieces of truth within his statements."

Pope told HuffPost Weird News that many people think he's still secretly working as a government flack, gathering intel on the public's notion of UFOs.

"They say I didn't really leave the ministry in 2006," he said. "They say, either this game is designed to throw people off, or it's part of a climatization process. Somehow I'm helping governments use this as a way of slowly getting the message out: They're here, but don't panic."

Are Pope and The Bureau's publisher, 2K Games, part of a government conspiracy? Probably not. More likely, Pope is simply a former government worker getting paid by a studio to be spokesman for a video game.

"That's what they want you to think."In fact, the government is involved in video games, but it isn't very secretive about them. America's Army, a first-person shooter funded and released entirely by the U.S. Army, is a known recruiting tool that shows off -- to gamers -- how cool a job with the military can be. Then again, if Pope was really lying about his intention to confuse the public with the release of a video game, he might say things like this:

"We didn't plan to match up the game's release with the declassification of Area 51 material I'm not a gamer myself, I'm not involved in the development side. My role is to engage with the gaming community and bridge the gap between UFO enthusiasts and gamers."

Well we do not believe that these visitors flew in from some far off distant planet, but were in fact the fallen angles that the Bible records and that Enoch also wrote about in his book some thousands of years ago. Enoch being the one that God took, (Genesis 5:24).

Jesus said something interesting when revealing details of the final days to his curious disciples. He warned that things on earth would become at the last days, as it was during Noah's days just prior to the flood. Well most people interpret that to mean people will become depraved and evil, (which is very true). Two of these individuals included Dr. Harold Puthoff and Dr. Christopher (Kit) Green.

Those were only the "semi-public" individuals who portrayed themselves as only involved with "investigating" the releases alongside those individuals who were chosen (by allegedly "anonymous" sources) to release the information via email and the web. Their (Green and Puthoff's) intention was to remain "under the radar," during the releases. The non-public members of the group consist of a satellite group of ex-intelligence and ex-military men - all collaborating to inject various parts of this story into the field of Ufology. These satellite "agents" include: James Angleton Jr., an Arizona group which may or may not include a J. Lackey, and other individuals who may be posing as fake email identities (either real stolen names, or fake ones entirely) including a Paul McGovern, Gene Lakes, Herb Milton (no longer active), and Tamara Linden. One involved individual even falsely presented himself, in person, at a UFO conference as Paul McGovern. There may still be additional individuals involved as well.

Much of the post concerns the origins of recent internet "soap opera" drama about extraterrestrials and UFOs, and a connection to Dale Graff, formerly with the USAF FTD.

In the future, I suggest that "Reality Uncovered" should rely a bit more on the official records (now that many have been released to the public) and less on hearsay evidence, or worse, speculative opinion.
