I found this article by Stephan Yulish kind of interesting, so thought I'd post it here to ponder.

There is a statement that Jesus said to the unbelieving Jews 2000 years ago that also applies to many people interested in UFOs today.

"I have come in My Father's name and you do not receive Me; if another shall come in his own name you shall receive him. How can you believe, when you receive honor and fame from one another and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God?" (John 5:43-44).

What does this have to do with UFOs in this post modern world of ours (see my article on Deconstructing UFOs in this Post Modern World, UFO Digest, January 29, 2008)? Why should anybody care what Jesus had to say 2000 years ago? After all, the zeitgeist of today is that 'everything is possible and nothing is certain'. The accepted wisdom is that the word of the cross is foolishness (1 Corinthians 1:18). But what if, just what if, the word of the cross is not foolishness but is instead the power of God? What if these so called extraterrestrials are rather fallen angels, evil spirits and demonic entities which are discussed in the Bible (Genesis 6:2-4, Ephesians 6:12, 2 Peter 2:4, Jude 6)? That is what Jesus was speaking to. People will reject Him and the truth but will accept ETs many of whom come in his name, with open arms. They would rather accept a lie than the truth. That is because people do not want to give up their sins. I sure did not. They felt too good. I also wanted to find so called Gnostic truth on my terms, in my way and still maintain control. It is hard to let go and let God be in control. As I have discussed before (My Early Descent into the Spirit World of Darkness and my Later Ascent into the Godly World of Light, UFO Digest, February 7, 2008) I fought this surrendering of my will with tooth and nail. I wanted to be the captain of my ship and I did not need any help or criticism, thank you very much. Many people do not want to accept the truth of the redeeming power of Jesus Christ to forgive sins and give eternal life (John 3:16) but would rather believe that their Savior and Messiah is from a distant planet of the gods and comes to earth on a spaceship. It will love and accept them unconditionally and rid them of all their problems (global not personal). They still can call it christ or jesus if they so desire but it is a false Christ as we have seen. As you can readily see, I do acknowledge that UFOs/ETs exist but I disagree with the conventional wisdom as to what they really are. But there are consequences to these deceptive beliefs and we must not minimize them. The Bible warns us about falling for the trickery of these so called extraterrestrials.

"One who is coming is in accordance with the activity of Satan with all power and signs and false wonders and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish because they did not receive the love of truth so as to be saved. For this reason, God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they might believe what is false in order that they may be judged who did not believe the truth but took pleasure in wickedness" (2Thessalonians 2:9-12).

Again in Matthew 24:23-24 Jesus said "If anyone says to you, behold here is the Christ, or there He is, do not believe him. For false Christ and false prophets will arise and will show you great signs and wonders, so as to mislead even the elect. More........

Ufo Sighting In Wyoming Michigan On July 4Th 2013 Observed 4 5 Red Glowing Orbs While Watching July 4Th Fireworks

UFO SIGHTING IN WYOMING, MICHIGAN ON JULY 4TH 2013 - OBSERVED 4-5 RED, GLOWING ORBS WHILE WATCHING JULY 4TH FIREWORKS.

I was watching July 4th fireworks (2013) from my window. It was approximately 10:15 - 10:30 pm. The fireworks were directly East of me and probably no more than about two miles away. I noticed one red, glowing orb start to ascend to the left of the fireworks. Its size and brightness caught my eye and, at first, I thought it was the finally firecracker being launched (again, because it was so big, I assumed they were going to have a big finish). The orb appeared (from my perspective) just a bit over the horizon but still very low. Instead of bursting into a firecracker shape, it continued to slowly rise. It kept climbing then hovered for about five seconds, then re-started its climb while curving a little to my left (its right). It kept going until it climb as high as I could see (about as high as a plane would be if you watched it after it took off from an airport and it reached its maximum ascent) then it stopped. Then a second red, glowing orb appeared in the same spot as the first one did before it started to climb, and it too started to ascend. Almost immediately, a third, then a fourth appeared (there may have been a fifth one also). These rose together (slowly like the first one) but very soon after the last one launched, they formed what looked like a parallelagram. They pretty much followed the same path as the first orb including hovering where it did, then upon their continued climb, curved to my left. This group kept climbing until it almost reached the first orb, then all of them dimmed and eventually, disappeared. It wasn't a cloudy night so I don't know if their dimming and disappearance was do to their lights just dimming or because they moved directly away from me making them disappear as they got farther way. Throughout the sighting, I was pretty fascinated by what I was observing. I also quickly realized, this was NOT part of the show. Since I had no idea what they were, they qualified as UFOs but I, obviously, didn't know if they were military or alien or whatever. I also was thinking at the time, if these orbs were military or alien, why would they make such an obvious appearance at a Fourth of July fireworks display when they had to know a lot of people would be able to see them.

Aliens May Cause Death Disease And Displacement

It's interesting that a man such as Stephen Hawking believes in aliens. He is quoted as saying: "To my mathematical brain, the numbers alone make thinking about aliens perfectly rational. The real challenge is to work out what aliens might actually be like."

I don't think you can argue with this, but Hawking has also warned about any such contact with these aliens.

He said on his "Into the Universe With Stephen Hawking" television programme, "If aliens visit us, the outcome would be much as when Columbus landed in America, which didn't turn out well for the native Americans."

The inference being that Native Americans experienced disease, death and displacement as European then American invaders fought them, seized their land and forced them onto reservations, sometimes after death marches.

Hawking therefore feels that, rather than try to establish contact, humans should try to avoid contact with alien life forms.

Perhaps this is also the thinking behind most governments on Earth as they try to cover up and hide any UFO sightings and stories of aliens.

There are differing views from Jill Tarter the retiring director of the SETI Institute (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) about the effect aliens may have on Earth. She is quoted as saying:

"While Sir Stephen Hawking warned that alien life might try to conquer or colonize Earth, I respectfully disagree. If aliens were able to visit Earth that would mean they would have technological capabilities sophisticated enough not to need slaves, food or other planets. If aliens were to come here it would be simply to explore."

"Extraterrestrial life with enough intelligence to travel light-years through the Milky Way already would be kinder and gentler with no need to pirate resources or use Earth as an outpost."

She went on to add, "Stephen has a brilliant mind, but he doesn't have expertise in extraterrestrial intelligence. Aliens coming here hell-bent on trashing the neighborhood and claiming all our resources - I'm skeptical of that."

But, of course, Jill Tarter doesn't have any real expertise either in extraterrestrial intelligence as she has said, regarding SETI, "Certainly, we don't see evidence of intelligent life. The case is still open. "

"The SETI Institute, in operation for 28 years and now with 150 scientists, has yet to receive one signal from intelligent beings elsewhere," she said. "Nor is there solid evidence that basic life forms - bacteria or microbes, for example - exist out in the solar system or beyond."

It would, I suppose, be preferable if Jill Tarter's opinion was accurate and that any visiting aliens would not wish us harm. But we can't be sure of this.
